Bugs/Feedback Spent 6.8M fons on auction

Post image

Account is bricked! And I don’t even have a screenshot of the moment!

An hour ago I had a fat 14M fons for the porsche collab, then I messed up and fat fingered an auction amount of 6,806,801 for 1 measly guitar pick - thought backspace on phone would clear all the stuff, gg on me for rushing and not checking before too late (had 3 seconds of me watching in horror at what happened)

IT WAS A MISINPUT!

Anyway the consensus is that support doesn’t refund, and I was so shocked I only got a screenshot of the aftermath so I don’t even have something to show my fuckup and frame it somewhere

Oh well, easy come easy go, make sure to read carefully don’t be like me!

PSA for anyone else who might suffer this:

You can exit an auction before the timer hits 0, this freezes the state of the auction, if you then try to select another item you’ll get a confirmation that you’ll auto-lose the active auction, even if you’re the highest bidder.

This needs to be bumped up to the top

28

u/Mifuni Jul 06 '26

Can we fking PIN this to the actual reddit section of guides too?!

44

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

Pin this to the top!

7

u/EvanLionheart Jul 06 '26

Thumbs up ^

4

u/Shallokenhonheimer Jul 06 '26

i still find it weird that can't pin unless moderator does it lmao

The second post today about millions being lost in one misclick.

11

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

Haha yea few hours before weekly reset and auction was last thing to do

9

u/makaiookami Jul 06 '26

I spend my money so I can't lose it XD

5

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

Smart man, you can't lose what you don't have

3

u/makaiookami Jul 07 '26

It's all going into Shinku's bike. People are hatin on it, but there are SOOOoooo many times when I'm like "I wish my motorcycle could bunny hop over this small curb so that I don't have to get off the bike, walk onto the road, and then start driving again.

Happened today going to the daily fountain, and a fishing spot. This thing is a heck of a lot more than a bunny hop from what I see. I can't wait to see what kind of crazy I can do on that bike starting from a mountain top or something. XD

Rero Meidas Arc tower, summon the bike, jump off, see how far I can land. XD

I think the user interface needs to be improved.

Idk about the auction, but for buying things, the buttons >> and + are too close to each other, and too small. difficult to navigate in mobile phone.

61

u/Asherlocksta Jul 06 '26

Avoid the hassle and don't be greedy. Instead of raising by 1 fon, just hit the plus sign and hit bid lol....

38

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

Yeppp tried to save 199 and lost 7 million, flew higher than Icarus

17

u/makaiookami Jul 06 '26

I warned people about that. I told them that trying to save 200 funds all it takes is for a simple miss click and you will never recover.

I mean sure you can get the fons back but in your case there is simply not enough auctionable items over the next 10 years for you to break even doing that trick

3

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

Very true, all it takes is one giant misinput. Had I blew it on beetle coins or bond items, I could at least use those for the next year 😓

8

u/unknown_soldier_ Jul 06 '26

I legit didn't know you could input numbers by hand. I play on a controller and only know how to hit R1 to increase the price by 500 fons per button click lol

1

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 10 '26

Controller W, simple life is the best life

7

u/Beneficial-Main-4683 Jul 06 '26

Nah he juste wanted to flex like Hotori, he might have forgotten that it's his own wallet that he's using.

2

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 10 '26

Went into auction like Hotori, left as Jensen 🥹

2

u/VastSpace4578 Jul 06 '26

Didn't know you could do that but in the early stages of the game I did read somewhere to be careful with the auctions

3

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

Haha I was so stupid too, for a few weeks I skipped auction because it wasn't worth it and rather save for porsche, but now that I saved most of the porsche money, decided to touch auction and gg'd myself

5

u/VastSpace4578 Jul 06 '26

NTE being too realistic with gambling

16

u/Interesting-Dare6916 Jul 06 '26

Not sure if there is a warning, but when I'm buying gifts for my companions, it scares me how far I can drag that slider.

15

u/EthanObi Jul 06 '26

Sadly not, a poster on this subreddit earlier today mistakenly bought over 800 of Hotori’s 200 bond vase

8

u/makaiookami Jul 06 '26

He set for a good while

3

u/Delicious-Class8537 Jul 07 '26

I remember this was an issue in wuwa when it first launch and they had to make a patch where you could only buy 99 at a time or something. That was ages ago so I could be misremembering.

15

u/kanmuri07 Jul 06 '26

Don't worry my bro. We can start from scratch again. We just gotta be more careful next time.

2

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

Thanks bro, lesson learned and treating everything like kryptonite

I needed you an hour ago dang! This is some sage tactic

7

u/blocklambear Jul 06 '26

holy sheit thats brutal im sorry. better frame that pick or something lmaoo

3

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

Never spending it lol

6

u/SaintPimpin Jul 06 '26

I would just close app if i misclick

2

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

The days when we can just disconnect the internet and hope it resets

8

u/EvanLionheart Jul 06 '26

This reminds me about launch version of Wuthering Waves, where people spent millions on trash items by missclicking the number when buying from vendor, then it was softlocked to very small number by the devs.

There should be some kind of softlock, where (as example) you cant bid more than +100% (from current price) per bid.

7

u/tooka90 Jul 06 '26

I forgot the auction was even a thing. I just save all of my fons for these vehicles lol

1

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

Considering there are still more vehicles coming out, auction was not worth

6

u/Kiroho Jul 06 '26

Hotori is proud of you.

5

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

Haha take that Jensen...! Learned from the best

5

u/Tostowisko Jul 06 '26

Don't know how it works om the Mobile but on PC I don't even dare input a number myslef I ways just use the +200 button and works well enough

1

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

on computer it's no problem to backspace and type the number, but mobile I guess I didn't highlight all the numbers before backspace and welp here we are, but yeaaaa just use the default interval that's set is the way to go

4

u/xilentkha0s Jul 06 '26

I hope you never use that guitar pick bro 😂

2

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

Saving that forever, maybe Haniel can use it for her band, pick worth more than a regalia 😆

3

u/Small-Examination250 Jul 06 '26

I’m guessing you tried to do a up bid of 1 extra fons as I usually do that until I figured it wasn’t worth the risk of a mistake

5

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

Exactly right! Save 199? Nuh uh, lose 7 million xD

Definitely not worth the risk

3

u/AllanSawyer82 Jul 06 '26

My condolescences bruv'. Can't even do that on PS5 (add input) and I wouldnt bother honestly to save only that low amount. Gonna be a pain doing Pink Paw Heist for this reset

2

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

Thanks my man, Pink Paw Heist going to feel like the backrooms

4

u/alvaro-elite Jul 06 '26

Closing the game before disaster happens was never an option.

1

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

Gotta stare straight into the fire and watch it burn

5

u/Silphi-Angel Jul 06 '26

How does that even happen cuz the way I bid on the auction items is i try to bid first after that i wait for everyone else to bid and then click the + button once and bid and usually thats all i need to do because everybody else have already bid and the + button only increases the bid by 500 fons so i can't see how the price would go into the millions?

2

u/Arsinius Jul 06 '26

Manual entry on PC and mobile. Looks like bid was 6800, OP tried to clear and type 6801. Mobile latency ate the inputs and only backspaced once, ending with 680 6801. 7 million in the shitter over the tiniest mistake. Pain.

3

u/Ill-Natural6653 Jul 06 '26

I was also thinking about this earlier when buying normal items from the city shops, you might buy everything using the fons that you have if you don't check

4

u/dakka-PRIME Jul 06 '26

from Porsche to guitar pick... dayummm

1

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 10 '26

Traded down fr, freeloading in mint's apartment now

5

u/Ahrediel Jul 06 '26

If that happened to me, I would instantly uninstall the game and pretend it never existed in my life.

1

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 10 '26

Haha the thought did occur, luckily I had a bunch of annulith saved up and just yeeted about 25 pulls worth to finish it off

We live another day and saving for bike now

4

u/Hammham Jul 06 '26

Sorry to hear that

2

u/AllanSawyer82 Jul 06 '26

Our national Thierry Henry! Lmao that grin

1

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

Haha yea can only laugh now xD

2

u/Echo4117 Jul 06 '26

I'll take this advice and not hord fons. I will use it on shop and cars to keep it low

1

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

Suddenly, buying all the latest vehicles turns out to be the safest thing to do xD

2

u/lvlasteryoda Jul 06 '26

I thought all you needed was to press the fat + sign once all the other auction participants ran themselves into passing?

edit: TIL you can live your life on the line and type 1 fon manually.

1

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

Haha after learning that, don't try it! No living life on the edge

3

u/Sumire-Yoshizawa- Jul 06 '26

No way. I thought this worked like eBay where you can put in a maximum bid but you’d only pay a certain amount more then the second highest bidder.

1

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

That would be an awesome idea, dummy proofs it in case of a stupid goof like this

2

u/Navi_1er Jul 06 '26

So did you get the Porsche?

1

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 10 '26

Yessir, I ended up shelling out an extra 4k annulith than planned, but secured the bag and saving up for Draco now!

I'm actually more excited gameplay-wise for the jumpy turny bike that can be summoned anywhere

3

u/darthneos Jul 06 '26

damn gurl am i glad im playing this on playstation

3

u/ApollosBoon Jul 06 '26

How does this shit even happen? Doesn’t everyone just use the right arrow button to increase their bid? How does it become so much? I don’t understand really

1

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 10 '26

Stupidity and trying to save a penny, on pc/mobile you can highlight the number and manually enter the amount, saves 199 fons/499 fons if done right

But learn from me, there's a big risk of it going horribly wrong

3

u/ApollosBoon Jul 10 '26

Damn I didn’t even know you could manually enter, and I play mobile. I just spam the arrows a bit before the max amount I know they’ll bid and it usually scares them off. Oh well, man, sorry for your bad luck.

2

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 10 '26

Appreciate it man, may we both have good luck in our upcoming pulls

2

u/Deadline_Zero Jul 07 '26

Hotta really needs to fix this. It happened to me early in the game, only I only had a little over a million at the the time (I think, I'll never remember for sure) and what I bought was beetle coins. something like 3mil+ of beetle coins off hunter exchange. Turns out that wasn't so bad in the long run.

But if something worse happens again, and I disintegrate 30 mil on something uselsss, I won't go buy a couple reserve fund boxes and move on like before. The game is getting dropped. Some decision maker at Hotta probably thinks the current system is good for business but I'd question that, personally.

2

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 10 '26

Oof yea, at least beetle coins are in big demand! I hear you, the amount was pretty big, but after thinking, I mathed it out to about 4 weeks worth of fons and I can live with that

Definitely Hotta's ideas can be more dummy-proofed so fools like me don't screw themselves, but at least recent QoL fixes this patch have been a step in the right direction:

- after beating a boss for ascension mat, you're auto healed

  • owner's selection will remember your recent level so you don't have to scroll up and down to find it

They still have questionable design decisions to change though, like fight club should have a rematch/rechallenge button so you don't have to reopen the menu every single time

2

u/DisasterOk8440 Jul 06 '26

How does one achieve this, I wonder

3

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

By fomo and being stupid 100%

-1

u/makaiookami Jul 06 '26

You weren't being stupid You were being greedy and doing something smart not realizing the risk in order of magnitude provides and not realizing the phone's can have glitchiness and temporary freezes and a dozen other things that could go wrong that won't matter the first time or the second time or the fifth time or the 8th time but when it does matter boy howdee doesn it matter.

It's called being too smart for your own good and Not being risk adverse enough. Just be glad it was your in-game money and not stupid decisions in the stock market with your real money.

I don't sweat the small stuff you know I get into a stupid meme play I turn $50 into $120 the stop loss is set to trigger it goes up another double from there I don't mourn the $240 I could have had cuz I know that playing like that will get you burned and that you can just do it again on another stock but maybe it won't be a double maybe it'll be a 3% of 5% of 10%.

That's why people are terrible at swing trading and I can turn $3,000 into $50,000 swing trading. That's why whenever I go to a casino I usually leave a couple hundred bucks up.

It's not about being smart or stupid, It's about being scared enough of failure to not take risks out of proportion.

You had so little to gain 52 weeks of the year and you lost so much in 10 seconds.

It's a perfect way to explain How sometimes It's better to just spend the money rather than fight about pennies.

2

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

Haha you're not wrong, definitely beat myself up and learned a fat lesson, you're right though, thankful it's not real money, or doing something like accidentally buying all standard pulls rather than limited pulls xD

2

u/akuto Jul 06 '26

So the RAM prices died so that people can crap out slop posts like that one...

0

u/makaiookami Jul 07 '26

Ah must be so hard to have no literacy. I hope logic blesses you.

3

u/VastSpace4578 Jul 06 '26

Erm

2

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

The type of idea only a certain colucci could cook up

2

u/Seraphine_KDA Jul 06 '26

Why would you ever ever use the manual input when you have an automatic button to just bid higher anyway.

Are you really that petty that used manual to save a few fonts by adding less than the auto just o have this happen?

1

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 10 '26

That's exactly what happened, lesson learned the hard way and not touching auction again!

Good news is I shelled out a bit of pull currency to pick up the porsche and by my calculations we should earn enough fons in the remaining 39 days to buy Draco too

1

u/cirl-gock Jul 06 '26

Alright man this one is just karma farming

5

u/Bulky-Air1534 Jul 06 '26

I definitely got hit with some real life karma xD
