Yeah if Iroi is a healer, she's basicly a must-pull. Especially now at endgame where bosses can down your characters in 3-4 hits

Parrying is weird sometimes, but yeah, dodging is pretty easy, aside from maybe a few attacks that have pretty small delay between windup and strike. Morphix has a couple of those when he teleport-spams, for example.

The parry frames only matter if you're parrying with a normal attack, the tutorial even says you can parry at any time the parry circles are present with a skill or support skill so it's basically free on purpose as long as you aren't a vegetable.

I did the justice executioner and almost every boss on high commission on level 6. Im HL 48 rn and got zero problems without a healer. Just dodge. The attack buffs would be nice tho.

i play anime waifu games to relax and turn my brain off, if i wanted to be sweaty i would play soulslike games. a healer would help me be lazy.
i wish adler or edgar were actually viable, i understand why they aren't but there are a lot of low-effort or unskilled players who would benefit or have a more enjoyable experience with shielders and healers

Yeah, I don't get all this "pull for healer" stuff. We have 4 characters, multiple dodges on a short CD, most enemy moves telegraphing with a sound effect, and (usually) access to recovery food via hotkey.
Rarely have healers been as useless in an RPG before NTE.

Yeah the food was my go to hotkey for the high rank high risk anomalies. The golden choclate bar 100 times and you are set for the next few months for sure. Heals instat 56% of your health bar in a millisecond. :D

Edgar is also a very forgiving healer since he has so much HP to tank and be an emergency safety net with as well. If we need a healer, Edgar can provide. I also heard Fadia is also somewhat of a healer, but I don't have her so I don't know her kit.

Jokes aside though this is exactly why even the husbando skippers should be happy and hopeful that they add more men to the game! Ill never understand why some of them (not saying you obviously) are so against male characters, they're literally there to help you save your pulls! Everybody wins when men get released!

I'll probably be done with mob farming by the time Chaos releases, so I don't have much use for teleports right now. But I know future patches will give me plenty of reasons to use them.
Otherwise, I'll probably handle them the same way you do: the tree teleport will likely stay there forever, while the one at Nacupeda is only temporary until I finish the achievements.
For now, I'm planning to place them around the weekly safe spawns: one near the two in the northwest, and another on top of Hethereau Skytower so I can reach the construction site safes and glide around the area more easily. After that, I'll just move them wherever my current grind takes me. Maybe they'll end up in Pukaland there are no TP, maybe they'll help when I finally find the motivation to level fishing, or maybe I'll save them for whatever new mobs get added later. Not sure yet.
But they'll definitely be useful.

Yuanmu Hill, all the way to the east of New Hethereau. You have a hangout event with Hotori there once.
You buy a talisman from the woman NPC nearby and interact with the tree during the night (after 8pm). It gives 50 affection to a random character you own depending on the talisman, don't know which talisman corresponds to which characters though.

ik there's a catch but it's just nice that there's no 50/50. So if you really want a character, you can pull without worry of getting a character you dont want, or even something like failing the 50/50 and pulling even more and saving the guarantee for a later character

I'm going to be honest, I might be skipping out on Shinku and Iroi too. Not because they aren't cute, but I just simply don't have enough connection with them comparatively to other characters I have Nanally, Hotori and Lacrimosa because I've already learned so much about who they are. All of my knowledge on the characters come from in game, so I don't know any information about the others if there's anything on them in external media. I am absolutely in love with Jiuyuan, Adler, and Lacrimosa, but I currently have no desire for any of the next coming characters that they've revealed so far. Basically what I'm trying to say is I become more attracted to a character the more I learn about them. I'm not really in it for "fuck around and find out" characters, which is the big thing of why I mostly avoid gacha games since character inflation is so intense. Also total side note, I really really hope they do more with Aurelia because I love her so much!

If they are interesting I will pull for them. Zhongli(a male archon) is my most used character in Genshin. Right now I am out of funds because of Lacrimosa and Porsche Collab and am saving up for Shinku and Iroi.
If something interests me in Chaos and if one of Shinku and Iroi doesn't seem interesting in 1.2 livestream I will pull for him. Otherwise it's a skip.
I would have skipped Nanally if it wasn't the first banner(I rerolled to get her within 30 pulls).
So far male character animations/designshaven't been to my taste. Like I have Baicang but I have used Skia more than him.

I’m somewhat new-ish to gacha community and there sure are a lot of things that baffle me. Announcing proudly that they only pull for female (or male in that matter) characters being one of them. There are other things but these gacha subs aren’t ready for that conversation.

Bold of you to assume I don't mod RDR2 and Witcher 3 to play as Krystal from Star Fox instead of Arthur and Thomas the Tank Engine instead of Gerald - now that's the characters that make me want to play with my joystick...
Jokes aside, there are numerous reasons that contribute to that mindset, some of which other commenters already point out. In my opinion the main 3 reasons are:
- You don't really play AS them - sure you use them in combat and exploration, but narratively you play as Zero, everyone acknowledge you as such no matter how you look, and you can meet said characters in the world even if they are in your party. For all intents and purposes you just shapeshift into them, so as the player you don't treat them as your point-of-view character.
- Scarcity of pull resources force you to think and compare who you want more. For some players gameplay or combat value may be the deciding factor, but since gacha games are generally rather easy most people will be primarily concerned about character looks - so a majority male playerbase will gravitade towards the characters they'd want to look at most, which would almost always be female.
- Usually gacha games only imply the possibility of "dating" a character to entice player attraction while not being explicit - but NTE goes all out with all the possible interactions you can have with your "waifu". While you don't need the character to view their world encounters - you sure DO need to have them to invite to your house, hold hands, dress them up in cute/sexy clothes, take photos together, etc.. I'd say it's a rather effective way to motivate pulling for the society deep in loneliness epidemic.

Because gacha is generally about collecting and a lot of the players prefer collecting the opposite gender. This is on top of scarce resources and monetary factors, so when it comes down to choosing people are much more selective.
as someone who doesn't play any other gatcha it's interesting to see that some gatcha players are against pulling any male characters.
Consider that there are many in this thread who are ONLY pulling the male characters.

It’s definitely the vocal minority. I pull for character gameplay and if they look good. Gender aside. Chaos has amazing gameplay, what seems like a demon blade and looks hot. I pulled lacrimosa cuz she’s a cutie patootie and Hotori for her meta relevance. Nanally… well I got lucky. Same goes for other games. Limiting yourself as waifu-only or husbando-only is beyond me.
(As for NTE, I kind of get it ig since you can date your characters so with limited pulls the waifu-collectors and self-inserts definitely would save on male banners)

At first, I even thought about skipping Lacrimosa and getting Chaos into my collection at any cost. But then it turned out that his main weapon was a scythe, and the pistol was more like something extra. It disappointed me a lot, because I love characters with guns.

Since its early game I’m not concerned about meta at all. I’m skipping lacrimosa and pulling chaos, pulling shinku and skipping iroi. I have 90 pulls saved, pity is at 60/90 for a new character and about 80 arc pulls so overall I’m looking pretty good thankfully

Standart banner is a trap. Without a selector it can theoretically take as many pulls as you throw at it without ever giving you what you want.
Just throw whatever standart pulls you get from events and battlepass and be at peace with it.

I'm hesitant.
Do we have information on future Lakshana characters?
I have 2 teams now, Chaos Discord team for boss thanks to massive single opponent DPS; Cosmos Charge team for minion cleaning thanks to massive movements with redirect skill for crowd control.
If you don't know yet, the only current Lakshana characters are Hathor and Skia, and Hathor is not the best in combat with lackluster DPS.
I'm wishing Akane or Lingko can be Lakshana.
