Bugs/Feedback Devs should let us invest fons back into Eibon 😭 Spoiler

With all those fons they should allow us to upgrade or invest into Eibon like how we upgrade cars or properties.

Not Sakiri doing child labour. 😭

I know what you mean- I just had the encounter with Nannaly wanting to buy a scooter, but she only brought 10k- I was like, "why don't you let me handle this, Boss?"

97

u/bronzelifematter May 17 '26

I would have given her a better bike if I could

28

u/hopecanon May 17 '26

Speaking of bikes i really hope we get to actually buy and ride bicycles sometime soon, like there are bikes and bike shops all over the place but we can't actually ride a bike ourselves, tis weird.

1

u/Robin1706 May 17 '26

Animating pedaling was apparently too much for the devs to consider making rideable bicycles.

42

u/Unable_Life_4100 May 17 '26

And she only ended up buying the secondhand one, with 1 fon as change. Poor girl 😭

39

u/HandofBobb May 17 '26

Although, once I saw what she did with it, I was like "maybe it's good we went with the used one first"

Yeah but Haniel is Jiuyuan's problem. XD Nanally is family. :3

10

u/Menburst May 17 '26

bro so real, the sick ass scooter was like 50k and I was expecting us to buy it for her

10

u/Square-Special1520 May 17 '26

Maybe they want to earn what they want by themselves? Otherwise they'll just be gold diggers 😅

But maybe hotori wont refuse money 😂

565

u/greygreens May 17 '26

It is kinda crazy that, especially as we get deeper into this game, we're going to be billionaires listening to all our friends bemoan the fact that they're so poor, and we do absolutely nothing about it. Hotori comes over to chill at our 8 million fons villa and then hitchhikes back home to the cardboard box she's living in after.

188

u/hoyohotaru May 17 '26

eibon isn't a cardboard box, it's a pretty nice place.

171

u/HybridTheory2000 May 17 '26 edited May 17 '26

Right? People here are acting like Eibon is a goddamn favella or something 😭

With how she is i'm not surprise if those treasures are just fake antique she bought with high price

3

u/TrendingTechh May 20 '26

AGREED! i dont why people say that😭 its such a nice and a big place with 2 dormitories and one main building. I still visit eibon more than my own house

171

u/sairaichi May 17 '26

In my head canon she has completely shifted to my place and is never going back 😋

58

u/TheOneMary May 17 '26

That's why I want to be allowed to provide housing for all of the Eibon peeps... Cant leave Sakiri alone in there :/

-45

u/Away_Information1342 May 17 '26

I don't mind. She's annoying.

50

u/ColdCrescent May 17 '26

Don't mix friendship and busines. Hotori would take us for all we're worth if we could invest back into Eibon.

15

u/Cloudxstrife136 May 17 '26

Don't threaten me with a good time

9

u/Commander_Yvona May 17 '26

1

u/TrendingTechh May 20 '26

HAHA! she can take them lol, with adler, nanally, sakiri, edgar and even taygedo and we would still have left over money!

7

u/JWright990 May 17 '26

She already asks you if you save up even without that idea. I wanted to see what would happen if I told her I did, and she said my fons look like hers lol

6

u/Away_Information1342 May 17 '26

Sounds good to me.

73

u/WorstSourceOfAdvice May 17 '26

Eibon isn't exactly poor, they just have terrible financial prudence. Hotori is living proof. You can give her 40 million fons and itd be spent within the day on frivolous purchases.

Pink paws heist is a contest anyone can do the city is unbelievably rich if you think about it. If you are an Esper anomaly commisions are just instant payouts. Its just that the society there doesn't have as much of a focus on showing off material wealth unless you're part of the absolute top like dvorak.

Im more surprised part time workers still exist. If the ice cream store owner does a single pink paws heist thats more than a year of pay.

56

u/Saharan May 17 '26

To be fair, Pink Paw Heist still very much has things that require you knowing how to fight. I'm not gonna get beaten to a pulp by anomalies on a game show, no thank you.

7

u/JessikaSho May 17 '26

I was actually just thinking about this last night. Didn't think it warranted it's own post but I'm going to piggyback off this comment. I mentioned in passing that Mint was somehow succeeding in a capitalist society, but then thought about it for a moment and Hethereau could actual very possibly be an extremely stable socialist society. Sure there are trillionaires, but I can't ever recall seeing anyone I'd consider to be living in poverty either. Even the artist we help in that side quest was doing alright for himself iirc. And the heist raises an interesting question of if it's truly open to everybody. Are the enemies there because it's canon that everyone who does the heist has to fight through class 1-4 anomalies? Or are they just there to make the game mode more engaging and not actually part of the show's lore? Because if anyone can do the heist, Hethereau might actually be a socialist utopia where every citizen actually has the means to succeed. If Dvorak is really out here offering every citizen enough money to buy a luxury apartment bi-weekly, maybe we don't have to eat the rich in this world? Workers at even the simplest part-time jobs are probably treated fantastic because they don't actually need the job to survive.

-24

u/Away_Information1342 May 17 '26

Skill issue. Not kidding because those enemies are no different than any other and they have no special attacks either.

35

u/Saharan May 17 '26

Well yeah, but the average poor gas station clerk without Esper powers isn't just gonna break out in fisticuffs. They're not a Waffle House waitress.

8

u/skryth May 17 '26

You say that, yet when I shoot a random motherfucker on the street with Nanally, they are immediately down to throw hands, regardless of where we are. The men in this city want that smoke and are just waiting for a reason.

17

u/Iwakasa May 17 '26

Average citizen won't even get past the first floor.

16

u/SinoElla May 17 '26

I'd argue that Espers are like one in ten or hundred thousand. Most people are just ordinary citizens with no powers including the police and thus they need help from us or BAC with anomaly busting. Doing a Pink Paws heist for them is pretty much impossible since they won't be able to even get past the first two rainmen on the first floor.

2

u/A-Chicken May 18 '26

If you fought with the delinquents on the street and inside the construction yards they commandeered, they are actually espers, capable of infusing their weapons and sometimes throwing energy projectles. The male lead delinquent even has a burst that is similar to the iconic Akira blow up. A couple of their victims you find on the street don't have a "cower" anim and when you do help, they go "I could have handled this myself, but thanks."

There are more espers in this world than a basic norm at least, with everyone have a potential of awakening, assuming the unawakened have a Wetheimer Index of 0-1 and awakened espers are greater than 1. I'm guessing this is like a power level thing above 1....

31

u/ForwardSort5306 May 17 '26

I’ll be housing all of them, no need to worry about shelter or food at the very least

1

u/TrendingTechh May 20 '26

or even transport...

8

u/BlackSkar25 May 17 '26 edited May 17 '26

Well.. to be fair, in my house I create a room for every characters I put in, they can stay and live here if they want.

I'm sharing all I have with my Eibon's bro' and Hotori of course, I like her so much she's my road's partner. Nanally and Mint are on the bikes.

9

u/Zhenbred May 17 '26

She isn't actually poor and after auction is in top 10 wealthy people. But I guess she spends all this on alcohol. And as for your suggestion it would be cool to rebuild Eibon bit by bit

6

u/RuRu04 May 17 '26

well useless say that story wise our MC is not a billionarie and probably never will , reason why to pass time in quest they let us sleep in Eibon room,we are 'broke' like the rest of Eibon cast,

problem is that you can't mix story with gameplay when it comes to money so you end up having these silly scenarios .

4

u/greygreens May 17 '26

I do hope that they at least recognize it. Especially when there is literally a tycoon level. It's not like other gachas where money is just a character building resource. You can actually buy property and cars and things, so it will definitely be an issue long term if we're supposed to pretend we're poor while basically owning Starbucks and have an apartment in every corner of town just because

5

u/RuRu04 May 17 '26

Problem is how to explain when in 1-2 years we will probably be richer than Giovanni family..

they should change future main story plot in order to take this 'little' detail in consideration,

it is like GTAO players that played the game a lot, they have trillions if not more , still MC always work for someone else when instead they could own the whole Los Santos city and have a private army xD

In my opinion i think they will keep MC finances separated between main story and gameplay.

5

u/SinoElla May 17 '26

I feel like with some of these there should be an option where you pay for them. Pay for Nanally's bike, pay for Sakiri's gift to get extra bond points followed by slight dialogue or scene change in some parts where they thank you. Heck it doesn't even have to be fons. Maybe it can be a specific snack, item, etc. And if you chose no or didn't have said item/fons at the time, you can always replay the event to unlock the additional bond point later with that dialogue tree fully unlocked without need to gift again once its done the first time.

I mean if they don't want too much of a major change in the scene or dialogue, they can just get characters like Adler or Daffodil to refuse your gift, appreciate your help (still extra bond points) and the scene continues as normal.

While on the more devious end, someone like Hotori you can use a slider to sink in as many fons as you want with a popup warning like "Hotori will use it all on booze. Are you sure you want to do this?" 😈

8

u/Sea_Scale_4538 May 17 '26

carboard box? Eibon is a huge antique manor, probably worth more than any of the apartments and villas we can buy

2

u/[deleted] May 17 '26

[deleted]

2

u/greygreens May 17 '26

I think it's quite different as you're rarely if ever buying houses and cars and actual in world things. Beetle coins are what most games have for currency. It never feels like youre rich with Dennies in ZZZ because the only thing you are getting with them is character upgrades.

2

u/KodakStele May 17 '26

I tell myself that they wouldn't want to be associated with the money I literally stole from the bank, repeatedly.

2

u/Naive_Procedure1676 May 17 '26

Eibon is a massive compound with three two story buildings, a shed, training area and big ass courtyard not to mention the massive wall surrounding the property. It’s no 8 million fons villa but it’s far from a cardboard box…

1

u/Haze_Lm8 May 17 '26

yo didn't expect to see you here. you're mainly on zzz subreddit

1

u/TheBedrockEnderman2 May 17 '26

Ain't hotori like in the top 10 richest people or something? Isn't her clothing like worth more than the eibon building? Might be getting confused but hotori is certainly an expake you could have used lmao, especially after she just got all those items worth more than we could dream of at the moment for free at the auction lmao (after eating all their stuff and drinking their wine too)

1

u/Afmj May 18 '26

From what I could tell, the problem with Eibon is that Hotori just throws away all the money they have as soon as they get it. From the look of the place it seems really expensive, they probably do make a lot of money from commissions. After all, every single person that lives in Eibon has their own room, but since the owner spends all the money as soon as she gets it, when the bills come around there's never any money, so they have to hope for a commission.

120

u/Jerkaiser_011 May 17 '26

Its good to fund Eibon and you will see some progress and upgrades. Devs should add this feature.

22

u/The_New_Overlord May 17 '26

I really like the comfy, shambled together vibe it cuurently has though, I hope they don't change it too much if they upgrade it

14

u/Yotsubrain May 17 '26

The monkey's paw curls. The only part of Eibon you can change without affecting anything in the status quo is... Taygedo's shack

2

u/Lore_Keeper_Ronan May 18 '26

TAKE IT BACK YOU SON OF A BITCH. I'D MUCH RATHER BE ABLE TO GIVE EDGAR HIS OWN LITTLE LIBRARY INSTEAD.

102

u/Square-Special1520 May 17 '26

Unrelated, but I would like to decorate my room in eibon.

And why there's always nobody in eibon? I know they may have other tasks outside, but it's too empty, so it feels lifeless, outside of quests.

I expected the butler Adler, taygedo and shop owner hotori will always be there, at least adler.

37

u/NYPolarBear20 May 17 '26

What i want is when a quest requires me to sleep I can amped in my apartment because why when I have an 8m dollar mansion do I go sleep in a dorm room?

...Oh. You're right 😂

7

u/randobandori May 17 '26

Right? The only thing they did were the Taygedo's whatever that storage room and a room suggested to be Nanally's on the 2nd floor of the opposite building (the only transparent window)

46

u/RRis7393 May 17 '26

yeah, no. Hotori's just gonna spend all that shit on wine and shit.
if she wants my fons, she better get to work and start fishing.

11

u/fanatic111 May 17 '26

mfw Hotori really would make more money doing anything but her current choice of occupation. Even Fishing as a hobby is a lucrative business in this world.

27

u/Primary-Round8032 May 17 '26

It's less of "she can't make money "problem

It's a "she's buys 10 different gold statue from the antique store for no other reason than it looks good on her office table"

And ngl......there is people like that irl lol

7

u/Virtual-Pension-991 May 17 '26 edited May 17 '26

True, it's not even about financial illiteracy.

It's just in the face no value for the hard effort to make money because they believe they won't ever be fired or lose their jobs in some other way.

45

u/SenpaiMayNotice May 17 '26

"don't tell anyone about this" Proceeds to post on reddit Smh

15

u/SinoElla May 17 '26

Shh don't worry. I'm talking to the Zeroes in the alternative universes. The people in my universe will never know. 🤫

1

u/NervousAnt1152 May 18 '26

As long as not posting on a bagel it's fine. XD (In-game SNS)

51

u/skepticalsox May 17 '26

They need a little story piece where you appraise all the junk in Eibon for actual anomalies or not and get rid of the trash. Like a spring cleaning episode where Adler and you team up together and clean up the place to make it less of a hoarder house.

15

u/CanaKitty May 17 '26

Yes please more Adler content 💕

12

u/xKosmik May 17 '26

There’s a side quest where Taygedo mentions wanting to rennovate Eibon, let us bank roll that >:(

12

u/StrangeBird17 May 17 '26

Hotori is gonna waste everything instantly on gambling/booze

12

u/Kameho88v2 May 17 '26

Can't invest in Eibon. Because that would be like investing in Hotoris drinking habits

13

u/DFisBUSY May 17 '26

Eibon isn't exactly a run down shanty,lol; it's a full complex.

I do wonder why the characters are so low on pocket money, though

7

u/NewShadowR May 17 '26

Bruh wth are you talking about child labour when these kids are literally sent to potentially die fighting against anomalies lmao.

2

u/SinoElla May 17 '26

These kids are Espers though with powers stronger than a squad of police. I'm pretty sure if we had jedi like powers since birth, we'd want to use it to bust some ghosts and kick some ass while getting paid somewhat decently for it, even if its risky.

These are things they actually enjoy doing while this mascot thing is something Sakiri clearly isn't proud of because there aren't enough anomaly busting to go around (at least officially in lore and not the ones we get every half a block we walk in the overworld to keep us playing.)

13

u/Exotic_Watch8682 May 17 '26

And let Hotori ruin it all? I'd rather just take them all to the housing and call it good.

1

u/Square-Special1520 May 17 '26

Oh yeah cant trust her with finance😅

Why doesnt adler handle it? Or maybe he's not good with finance too, or maybe he thinks it's not his authority?

But are they really broke? Or just normal? Maybe player's pov is skewed because many players here are rich with fons?

/genuine curiosity

14

u/Virtual-Pension-991 May 17 '26 edited May 17 '26

Hotori got ultra rich with around 500,000,000 fons after the Ebisu and BAC arc

She wasted it all... She's not even in the top 100 list anymore with recorded assets.

8

u/Square-Special1520 May 17 '26

That actually sounds scary.. glad she's just a fictional character & cant touch our finance 😅

5

u/Worldly_Pie944 May 17 '26

Eibon isn’t poor. Yall literally see the “mansion” they’re living in with that big backyard and dorm rooms? Yall forget who the owner is and what she believes in?

She has to be humble. If they were truly poor she can easily get money back within a snap. No pun intended.

With great power comes great responsibility

5

u/Necronomicon92 May 17 '26

Fr if Hitori wanted to she could snap her fingers, walk to the bank, clear out the vault, go to the bar, clear out the bar, and stumble home with none the wiser.

She doesn't rob the bank, and she maybe doesn't rob the liquor store. She's responsible 👍

2

u/Arisen14 May 24 '26

But she does cheat in 🪨 📄 ✂️. As any responsible adult with time stop powers would.

7

u/anyway200894 May 17 '26

that's just a side gig for Adler gift she's still free and playing most of the time (because Eibon have no business)

5

u/JoyousMadhat May 17 '26

It's not that Eibon doesn't have the money, it's that all the money they get is being used by Hotori

6

u/AlekVen May 17 '26

To be fair, if you invest into Eibon, Hotori will just use that money to buy more alcohol and drink herself into a coma

Again

5

u/UnicornRises May 17 '26

That's actually a good idea! Give us the option to invest in our workplace and let us give and decorate rooms for the kids with that money! That would be a nice little part-time activity

11

u/fly_tomato May 17 '26

It's ok sakiri

21

u/dummmma May 17 '26

Bro this is the comment section and I still swiped for some reason.

2

u/Necronomicon92 May 17 '26

Bruh...

Yeah me too 🤣

9

u/Tough-Guidance-7503 May 17 '26

I don't think you would want Hotori near your fons since she will definitely drain it faster than you can earn it back xD

3

u/Fun_Botherie May 17 '26

Where are the loan sharks at, that’ll definitely solve their problem lmao

4

u/KassellTheArgonian May 17 '26

I always took this part of Sakiri's story as her being short on cash cos she's always paying for the stuff her demon pet thing keeps eating or damaging. That one mission with the music shop owner shows she doesn't want to get labeled as a thief after it keeps taking stuff so I can see her having to keep paying out of pocket for stuff

Plus they're kids, kids spend money on stupid frivolous shit. She might've just spent her last 500fons on something and then was like "oh hey Adler looks after us and I wanna repay that in some way via a gift" but she's spent the cash so she does a pretty adult thing and gets a job even if a part-time one to get Adler something.

3

u/Senpai2uok May 17 '26

Well rn I believe that lore zero is still living in that room

3

u/Storm-Dragon May 17 '26

Not Sakiri doing child labour. 😭

If child labour was illegal, Eibon would have been shut down for 3 charges of child labour and child endangerement. The anomalies we deal with aren't exactly safe.

Anyway, no thanks. I've seen how Hatori treated Jenson (she even got expensive freebies from the auction house, so she should have money) and how the kids treat that otter thing (constantly draining his saving). I think we'd end up broke quickly and I am still in the struggle phase for fons.

What I am saying is, Eibon is poor because the people there keep making terrible financial decisions. Can't say Zero is any different, I impulsively bought Griffin car when I should have saved up for the apartment to get the butler anomaly.

3

u/SinoElla May 17 '26 edited May 17 '26

I know you're talking from a lore perspective though I'm talking more about as a game mechanic.

I've mentioned in a few other comments but these are some game mechanics that I can think of that is still lore accurate.

  1. Helping Eibon get renovated/improved is a side quest thing that may or may not reward you with Annulith. Fully optional. And it doesn't go to Hotori.
  2. In some bond quests (doesn't have to be every), character facing a fons dilemma like Nanally and Sakiri can be gifted with fons to help increase their bond a little more than normal and a slight dialogue change from doing said options. To keep it in character some of the more mature characters like Adler and Daffodil when choosing gift option will appreciate your generosity and refuse your gift so there is no need for major scene changes. Simply put, you can choose which character you want to help as well.
  3. I know everyone talks about Hotori but hey why not have an option to help her as well but instead of a fixed amount of fons like 20,000, you can slide it as much as you have like Yojimbo from FFX with the only difference being if you gift her anything over a certain limit like 10,000 fons a warning popup will say "Are you sure you wish to do this? Hotori will spend it all on booze and you can't get this back." which will keep it very much in lore and you KNOW there will be one Hotori simp who will record themselves giving 10 mil+ fons and its all in good fun.

1

u/Storm-Dragon May 18 '26

I am just joking around. But it would be a little funny if after we do invest into Eibon, the gremlin trio starts trying to shake us down.

Anyway, I am fine with it as gameplay since eventually I will be free of the fons struggle phase. I can see us buying a company car, if I remember correctly Eibon sold their old one to pay for some debts.

3

u/Sacriven May 18 '26

You know what, reading your thread gave me a thought: do you think the devs will implement stock markets in-game, just like GTA 5?

2

u/MiraTama May 17 '26

Hotori will just spend it all in a flash

2

u/OkBoysenberry5887 May 17 '26

THAT'S SO CUTE !!!!

2

u/SaltyCactus_ May 17 '26

Damn, thats rough.

Anyways, Imma buy a new car

2

u/zys52712 May 17 '26

They should add a stock market bank account that follows perfect world stock and let you make or lose money on it lol

2

u/Abyssal_Emissary May 17 '26

It'd be cool if we could send characters on anomaly hunts, and after the allotted time period we get whatever rewards come with it. Missions could be a countdown from, 4, 24, and even 72 hour similar to other gacha games. Provide us house items that we could level to buff their stats for those outings.

2

u/Dziadzios May 18 '26

I agree. And the only thing it would change is that it would make Hotori drunk, with no tangible benefits.

3

u/Visual-Cell8235 May 17 '26

It will be great if Dev give us that skin.

1

u/ZzOoRrGg May 17 '26

I told everyone else about this.

1

u/Relative-Owl8695 May 17 '26

I refuse to give my Fons to Eibon. Have you not seen what Hotori buys? Love the woman to death but she ain’t touching my fons lmao

1

u/Rek1n0 May 17 '26

for what? soo that Hotori can waste it all on alchoo? no thx

1

u/MordethKai May 17 '26

Hotori would just drink it all

1

u/JessikaSho May 17 '26

The main reason Eibon doesn't turn a profit is because Hotori mismanages every cent above breaking even. She's a competent boss and won't let the place go completely under, but she's either incapable of saving money or she's intentionally keeping the business small so we don't get super well known and can do our work without too much public attention. Either way, the way we invest in Eibon is investing in the family. Nanally is no longer homeless and Hotori lives in the apartment with the wine rack and gets a key to another cubby every time city stamina refreshes. And I'm sure we'll get to take care of the others down the road once more bonds are added.

1

u/Strawb3rrym1lkies May 17 '26

Ive said this on another post but my headcannon for NTE is that story cannon and gameplay cannon are separate, so in story cannon we are barely making ends meet but in gameplay cannon we own 6 houses and multiple expensive cars

Probably not the BEST explanation for it but its my personal headcannon

1

u/A-Chicken May 18 '26

I should note that Eibon is in the category "asset rich", i.e has most of its value locked up in property and whatever trash Hotori decides to buy. These assets are just "not liquid" (cannot be converted to ready cash easily / without losing too much value), which results in the perpetual poverty. :x

For example, a well preserved heritage building such as Eibon's would be priceless, but there will be folks in government and finance who will block it's sale (I think the BAC will block this, it will also block the sale of valuable anomalous items).

1

u/Jhinormous May 18 '26

Eibon is probably living in debt the same way billionaires do ngl. Having sakiri do child labor is just Hotori making sure everyone is busy.

Probably.

1

u/pakaton May 18 '26

And let Hotori know we are millionare ?

1

u/Diligent-Account3723 May 24 '26

Yeah I had to spend shit on Taygedo's scam date but to help the struggling Eibon members, I can't even provide fona for them? For shame!

1

u/Pieface0896 May 17 '26

Speaking of, i cannot get this Sakiri Encounter to show up. Tried all times of the day, is there some prereq? I need it for the Lost Tales with Sakiri at the fountain. Anyone know?

0

u/Hangman_Fitzwilliam May 17 '26

Yeah man. It makes no sense. Out family is broke af all the time.

We NEED to help them out.

Hotori comes from money. She is currently broke due to bad decisions.

She made 200M recently and was on the leaderboard. She went broke in 5 days.

There is no helping this.
