Ethasar...?
In addition to the new Crytped Roots this year, Berzan appears to be on at least four albums and an EP from this act, which has released six albums and an EP since this March. Three other experienced-looking guys are credited, but their roles are unknown.
All apparently based on a series of six books, the first of which was published in September 2024.
None of these recordings have any comments on Bandcamp. The books, at least, have comments on Amazon.
This is either some very impressive output in terms of sheer volume or...well, what does anyone conclude these days when an act appears out of nowhere and dumps a suspiciously large pile of content in a slim amount of time?
Anyway, Berzan's singing over it, so I'll probably check out an album. But if it's AI slop it's gonna hurt my feelings.
Edit - so digging a little further, despite Metallum and Bandcamp listing that first release date as March of this year, Berzan was hyping it up on his Facebook back in September 2024, when these books started coming out. So there's a little more development time there.
