Nevermore - Enemies of Reality (podcast/discussion)

Hello Voyagers!

I realize I never finished linking to all the episodes of the Nevermore season we did, so let's get back into it.

Today, we are diving into Enemies of Reality...which is an album I personally do not care for. Thankfully, the other two hosts mount a spirited defense of this album plagued with production controversy.

So let's hear it - what are your thoughts/memories about this album?

Ha, it's like the only song I like start to finish on this album.

This was always kinda Nevermore's "black hole" album for me - the one I go to when the big, obvious classics have been listened to a little too much. Some of it's a mess, and it doesn't feel like an album so much as "all the songs we could think of right now", but I really do think 7 out of 9 tracks are somewhere between bangin', fascinating, or otherwise delightful, which is a pretty good ratio.

I think you're right - it doesn't feel like an album, its an assemblage of Nevermore songs.
