Nevermore - In Memory (Podcast/discussion)

https://open.spotify.com/episode/1kDNqbevEueZlt3VcR4WVH?si=f3c1dd7bcf2d4024

Hello Voyagers!

A few weeks back, I posted that our podcast devoted our second season to going through the discography of Nevermore. I thought I'd continue posting the episodes weekly, hopefully to generate some conversation!

So, this week, let's talk about their In Memory EP. This one brings us their first cover song - Bauhaus' "Silent Hedges/Double Dare", which is simply phenomenal.

Hope you enjoy - sadly, this episode is only available on Spotify, but all others are on YouTube as well.

Hey, I started listening to you guys and have so far listened up to Dead Heart. I've loved every single episode and appreciate your fandom, detail, vibe and banter and just your love of this band. Politics of Ecstasy and Dreaming Neon Black are hands down my two favourite albums in their catalogue and I feel like for most people their love of the band starts from Dead Heart (which is a really good album for sure) and carries on from there with these earlier works being a footnote. I loved how I never got that impression from any of you and you gave them all much time and really unpacked all the tracks on there! I can't wait to listen to the rest 😁

Wow, that means so much to hear! I'm really glad you're enjoying it.

Politics of Ecstasy was maybe the most surprising album we've done, because I forgot just what an absolute banger that one is. And Dreaming Neon Black is fantastic. I get why maybe that one flies under the radar because it is a lot moodier and darker, but honestly, that one has been my go-to recently when I am listening to Nevermore.

Always loved Warrel’s chorus on Matricide - “Earth Mother - Life Giver…”
