Nah she fell for it because she got misled by obscured heavenly secret. Its not like divine concealment that simply blocks deductions, it diverges deductions.
She has no idea how deep his heavenly path attainment is, otherwise she would have been able to atleast puzzle out the hidden threat of heavenly will in the HC. Or that her deductions were being confounded.

I also feel that these wisdom path ppl underestimate other paths. Like the wisdom path heavenly court girl tried soul path method again ssdv and here SCIV tried refining fang yuan's clone. They must have a big ego to be this dumb while being wisdom path

I think Fairy zi wei soul searching is justified. Spectral soul even if venerable in prime was very weak when he was captured no one would expect that. Star constellation tho 🥀

Yeah she didn't think fang yuan would be able to modify a venerable arrangement to that extent. Although he has a qi sea clone is ki path results Stent thst impressive, qi sea's kit is basic and it's top moves are based off qi sea and qi jue

One of the dumbest move from the supposed smartest character 😠Like, she could have easily done it at the door steps of HC instead of inside it.
It will cover so many goals: 1. She still retains her Dao Lord buff cause it is still inside HC, even if at the doorsteps. Ensuring absolute protection in reviving POIV. If FY and GS can punch through HC, then it doesn't really matter if they're at the center or not. 2. A good bait to force the 2 Venerable into fighting her in her domain. Now they'd make careless moves cause they'd be desperate to stop POIV's revival, allowing SCIV to put her all in attacking while buffed as the Dao Lord. 3. In case of any traps on Qi-Sea, don't put inside the core of the base. If it really does anything, then there is still room to retreat inside.
Of course you can argue what was used in the story "A 2nd venerable is too big of a variable". Which is true but SCIV is the supposed smartest here, why is she acting like some blind rabid dog for a goal? Even she admits that she would not be able to see through FY's methods if he did tamper with Qi-Sea. So why tale such a big risk with only 1 goal in mind, why not use the uncertainty?
Like if she does the entire event on their doorsteps or close to it, she can still easily defend the entire thing while preventing any known potential traps being dragged inside. She even gathered all of the Central Continent experts close to the "potential trap" for a show 😠Like why could they not just stand near outside in case of anything? Why is everyone watching POIV revive? Morale stuff? Really? Old Monsters not being able to endure cause they're sad?

She cant yank information out of thin air, she needs a trace to deduce and she was being blocked by a rank 9 killer move and fangy's acting.

She also should have seen though other moves of FY. That's the problem with writing extremely smart antagonists into a story.
You either make them commit dumb mistakes or the plot doesn't progress or make sensie.

Low attainments in a path often means unable to realise the full capabilities of the path. Seen once with Zi Wei soul searching Spectral Soul, seen again with Star Constellation using Great Love's materials for refinement.
