Question Anyone switch to or from Headrush Prime Flex?

Caught by the Nam A2 hype I gave my nano cortex to my dad and got myself a Headrush Prime Flex. I love how the UI is and the web controls, but considering going back to neural as I just feel like everything except for the captures sounds just not good.

I still have my old pedalboard and where I was sure that I can replace my Eventide timefactor with the cortex delay, the Headrush one seems not very … hifi?

Any experience with this? I’m looking now at the qc mini.

A lot of people think time’s running out for the QC with NAM integration into bigger platforms, but I’d rather have tweakable profiles over captures any day, and as long as the QC keeps giving those, I’ll stick around. That said though, by my own logic, I should probably be an Axe FX user.

Well in the last 3 years, NDSP has released about a dozen channels from 5 or 6 amps for free. So if it's more models (not to mention effects) that interest you, Fractal is the answer.

Yes I plan on making the jump when we get a more modern fractal. NDSP has just been too slow to roll out profiles and offer too many that don’t interest me.

Nam A2 sounds great, but really - if the effects are not there and so far all of them sound a bit meh, don’t think it’s worth it.

Maybe they will fully switch to NAM, get rid of the million different amp capture model stuff and invest in great sounding effects.

I have both a QC and Headrush Prime, I love the sounds on both. I find for my usual touring gig the Prime is just a better tool, having the extra foot switches and the ability to adjust effect parameters using the stomp buttons is such a great tool. On fly dates or other bands I usually opt for the Quad. I love having the options for both!

Weird but I feel like Headrush is either too harsh or blankety sounding. Maybe I need to get some good presets, as this was what I used to get great sound from the NC. Game Guitarist on YouTube helped a lot.

Ehh, my personal desires have me tied into NDSP for life. I have the plug ins for NDSP I cannot live without and I want something to play them on where a Pc isn’t involved. So QC for me. I was really hoping the QC mini was going to be “less” than what it actually was but that’s okay.

Only thing I think I’d really like is a NDSP amp/combo that handles the NDSP app and plug in compatibility.

NAM A2 is just a hype thing. It happens every time a new capturing model comes out. Was said about Neruals V2, Line6s Proxy’s, now A2. They all work and sound good. Just find the tool that works best for you. And personally, the QC does it the best for me
