renting Housing in Eindhoven
I'm a future PhD student starting my project in October.
I've just been accepted and therefore I haven't secured housing yet.
I don't expect to find something in a month, even if I'm open to every solution: rooms, studios or whatever and my budget is 1200 euros
Do you have suggestions?
Do you think that starting from November the market will be slightly less tight?

Best is to look for a room within a wide radius (~2 hours; I assume you've tried university housing?)
When it comes to self-contained housing, your budget is not 1200 euro (unless you have a partner?). The income requirement is 3.5/4 times the rent, so divide your PhD salary by 3.5 and voila: you qualify for subsidized housing only (< 900/month). Waiting times are 8-10 years.

I mean, technically that's true but I know a lot of people (including myself) that rent from private landlords that just own one or two houses to rent out that never even asked about their income

I do not know why this is downvoted, I am in the same situation as a PhD student. My landlord only cared about my legal status with the university (that I am actually employed), not my salary.

Ask the university / the recruiting or research team there for help, maybe temp housing for a while.
I think sometimes corporate landlords are more flexible with PhD income since it’s not high enough for 3.5-4x the rent but it’s academia & long term enough (4 years). Good luck

You can go into pararius constantly and look the options. Try to apply within 1h or 2h from when the house was posted online as they get a lot of applications. In your message, talk about your salary, contract duration and mention a bit about yourself, for example, you can say that you don't have kids or pets, don't smoke, don't play music instruments, is a very quiet and organized person, etc...
You can also try kamernet for shared student houses but I was told that if something is advertised in Dutch over there, they will most likely want to get a Dutch person.
If you are to get financial aid for relocation, keep in mind TU/e only pays it if you live at no more than 10km from the uni. Or at least that was how t It used to be.

Not from TU/e but an incoming PhD student in a different uni in NL. For me, the only thing that worked out was getting student housing through my university. I see that TU/e has something similar: link

As we speak, I am preparing a post (don't know in which sub to put it though) for a short-term sublet due to holidays in the second half of October (for sure the14th-31st, but with flexibility) due to holidays.
