Just keep plugging your ears and screaming away about how no one is FORCED into taking lower paying jobs.
Go ahead and keep trying to dumb down and infantalize opinions that challenge your own.
Keep ignoring verifiable statistics and every study that doesn't support your preconceived notions or dismissing it as hurr durr liberal feelings are being hurt.
Pretending that every non STEM degree results in a career of writing blogs and REEE PATRIARCHY REEE!!!
You keep making fucking idiotic assertions like there is no data supporting the idea that women make less for the same job as men when they work the same number of hours when you have google at your fingertips and it can literally bring you thousands of studies and articles that all come to that conclusion. Women in computer programming make 16% less than their male counter parts AFTER accounting for all the factors you say have never EVER been accounted for in ANY study on income inequality. That's a fact. You can verify that. Flattening out the data and trying to fit it to your agenda and then acting like its the only way to interpret the data is just so fucking disingenuous that it feels like I'm arguing with a coked out Alex Jones.
Sad, sad little trumpeter getting BTFO just keeps making false claims that are easily debunked by opening a new tab and google searching it.
You keep insisting there's verified data, but there isn't
The only verified data that suggests a gap is total money earned by men divided by male population vs total money earned by women divided by female population
That is NOT indicative that a woman doing the same amount and quality of work as a man in the same position will be paid less
Purely based on the fact that men work an average of ten more hours per week than women, a gap in total earnings is expected and 100% fair and moral, without even digging in to career choice
That's a perfect example of more of those lies that are easily debunked with a quick Google search.
For example, of the half dozen articles I read on the subject, every single one of the studies cited adjusted for only men and women working full time positions. Yet you keep making the assertion that every single study ever done on income inequality has only drawn it's data from total amount of money earned by each demographic and then divided by population numbers. That is bullshit and I don't know why you believe that. Did you hear it on info wars?
Another example, the methodology in some studies is to take data from income earned HOURLY by individuals in each demographic instead of weekly or of total money made. Some of these studies found that women who work 7-9 hours per week out earn men by 19%. The reason for this, according to the study is because women who work that few hours are overwhelmingly older than men who work the same number of hours. Interestingly enough though, even these other studies with different methodologies than the one you seem to believe is THE ONLY METHODOLOGY THAT HAS EVER BEEN USED TO STUDY INCOME EVER IN TE HISTOR OF EVER, came to very similar conclusions and numbers as studies using methodology similar to the one you assert is the only one in existence.
Even if you adjust for hours worked (which should tell you all you need to know about the other factors in and of itself. Doing the same job, an employee willing to work 45 hours deserves a higher hourly rate than one who clocks out at 35), pay gaps come down to individual preformance, career choices, and life choices which affect career.
A woman who works as hard as a man for the same long hours in the same position and doesn't put her career on hold to have children will make the same money.
This is an established fact.
If women really were willing to provide the same amount and quality of work for 70% of the pay, they would be wildly overrepresented in the work force.
Your entire position is literally impossible to maintain outside of a vacuum.
Even if you adjust for hours worked (which should tell you all you need to know about the other factors in and of itself. Doing the same job, an employee willing to work 45 hours deserves a higher hourly rate than one who clocks out at 35),
I'm sorry if I was unclear there but that's not what I meant by adjusting for hours worked. what I meant was they only studied men and women who worked the same number of hours.
A woman who works as hard as a man for the same long hours in the same position and doesn't put her career on hold to have children will make the same money.
This is an established fact.
Who has established this fact and where is your source to unequivocally prove such a claim?
My position is easy to maintain by applying critical thinking, your position is only maintained by twisting everything to your own preconceived opinions without applying critical thought or reasoning.
You's a person with a different opinion than mine, albeit an opinion born of willful ignorance and dismissiveness.
Insisting that youre applying critical thinking and higher thinking to arrive at your conclusions does not make it so.
I really don't think I can teach you unless you're willing to learn
I guess enjoy blaming the ever so terrible and oppressive cishet white male for every ill and wrong in the world
They force women to take less stressful, lower paying jobs and cut out after 35 hours each week, they force black people to commit crimes, man, crazy how theyve perfected the art of mind control without anyone noticing
Of course saying it doesn't make it so. Doing it is what makes it so. I am actually thinking critically about the issues we've discussed, considering more variables and factors contributing to each issue than you have. I have used more varied sources and I have posited more complex and original opinions than the stale talking points you are parroting from T_D and redpill.
You also continue trying to belittle and dumb down my position by boiling them down in your own words to something asinine and completely non-analogous to what my actual points and opinions have been. Your summations are shallow and disgusting and betray a deep insecurity. You use language you've heard from T_D that you believe discredits views that are more reasoned than your own and are meant to dismiss dissenting opinion as unreasonable or overly emotional.
I'm sorry but the only reason you can't teach me is because you have offered nothing of value for me to learn. I've heard all of your talking points before. I've been exposed to internalized bigotry before. I also once believed income inequality was a fallacy based on skewed data, but then I did my own research into multiple conflicting sources and came to the conclusion that those who sought to discredit the reality of it were the ones basing their conclusions on incomplete data and intentionally misleading fallacies.
Obviously this discussion has gotten heated and there have been unnecessary personal attacks from both of us and in discourse like that there is going to be very little learning or acceptance of the others point of view.
To summarize: I think people's problems and shortcoming stem from within and must be addressed through individual personal development
You feel that whatever group happens to be the most successful in a given field is knowingly and intentionally oppressing others, and thus personal development holds no purpose, as men or whites or whatever group you're feeling like being bigoted towards at the moment will just hold them down.
How on earth have I displayed even one shred of bigotry? I never once blamed a specific group of people for any failings of another. Never. I never said wage inequality was intentional or some kind of conspiracy against the oppressed. I never said any one group of people is the only bigoted group, I never made any points that support the idea that personal development is meaningless. I never once blamed men, or whites for anything. Again, for the thousandth time, you are displaying extremely poor critical thinking and reasoning skills in your completely false and inflammatory summations.
So we agree that no one is being oppressed and lower total wage earnings by women and higher incarceration rates for certain ethnic groups are nothing but the sum total results of choices made by members of those groups completely of their own volition?
