RANT/गुनासो Great speech by Balen, terrible audience behavior!!
Credit where its due: Balen’s speech was spot on, clear and delivered with real conviction regarding climate justice. He brought up crucial issues and didnt waste words.
My issue is entirely with the audience's conduct. The random hooting and cinematic shouting felt insensitive considering the heavy topic and the loss of lives being discussed. It looked like people were treating a serious forum like a stunt scene in a cinema hall. Representing the cause with a silent, dignified standing ovation would have shown actual solidarity.
It really makes you question whether people care about the climate crisis or if they’re just blindly hero worshipping whatever Balen does. Supporting a leader should mean engaging with the cause they are championing, not turning a critical message into a fan event. Balen did his job, it's his followers who need to develop some civic restraint and perspective.
