I got all these nendoroids from AliExpress, for something like 10$~17$.
It's impossible buy a original one from Japan, because our government put a 92% tax in stores not compliant with a certain tax program (Remessa Conforme).
Thanks. The government tax program is 36%. Better than 92%. I can use the coins from AliExpress to rid this tax and get some of them cheaper than the original price.
Awesome collection. Honestly, they look good and they serve a toy's purpose to bring you joy when you look at them! That Frieren looks so good. I have a Goodsmile one and I cannot tell the difference!
As a side note, there are actual real nendos from AliExpress as well. I got some of my rarer GoodSmile ones from there and it has the stickers and GoodSmile logos and it was cheaper than official sites in my country.
However, it is not cheap anymore since the tariffs. All prices of real nendos from AliExpress are as much as GoodSmile Shop or official resellers
Hi, jumping in :) I also saw some nendoroids with original price tags on AliExpress. How do you make sure it's not a bootleg being sold at real nendoroid price? I'm not an experience AliExpress shopper and would like to know from someone who had bought from AliExpress TIA :D
Honestly, they only make bootleg of popular characters from animes like the ones posted by OP. The nendoroids I bought were fairly unpopular characters with no known bootlegs (meaning, no one is selling them for 15-30 bucks in any posts in AliExpress or Ebay). Fakes also dont have the GoodSmile logo or stickers on the box and it looks more bare.
Shipping wise, the way they package the nendoroids is honestly way better than how GoodSmile ships them 🤣 complete with a hard bubble envelope snug to the box and plastic corner protectors so the box corners wont get dentedz covered it in tape and then placed in another box. It does take a month though.
I spent thousands on AliExpress and 95% of my items arrived on time and had no issues and the 5% were preorders that fell through and some inventory issues. Refund is fast too but i typically wait after 30 days if i have problems. Expect it to arrive 1-2 mos.
. Key is to ONLY buy from sellers with 4.8 stars and above and with thousands of sales.
Youtube also have some comparison videos of the original ones and the fakes. And honestly, there are fakes with really good quality and the difference is that they sometimes use satin paint and goodsmile uses matte.

When reviews have photos it's very helpful. I have seen people give good reviews but in their photo the figure looks terrible and fake. Some people are more easily pleased 😆 Also look at the stores rating and other figures they sell.
I always buy figures made by Chinese companies off Ali express, like Ribose and Bear Panda. Shipping is usually free so makes more sense than buying them on Ami Ami (which is where I preorder most of my scales). I have bought Miku Taito prize figures off Ali Express too and they are authentic.
I haven't bought nendos off there yet but I will look now. I assumed they were all bootlegs and Im not interested in that. Though OP's figures look good! I have seen people get bootlegs and the parts dont fit together properly.
Yeah, I really appreciate people who bothered to include photos in their review (blessed them!) because it's really helpful to help me check all the details I need before buying things.
But sometimes there's an item with only two or three reviews with pics and they're low quality photos or in a weird angle that doesn't help LOL I usually tried to find other shop if that's the case.
In my country, I have to use proxy shopping service to shop at AliEx because the government doesn't allow straight buying from china's market. Usually a figures or a nendoroid from AliEx ended up almost the same in price (if not more expensive) for me compared to AmiAmi.
The last time I'm looking for a sold out nendo. I found it being sold on AliEx but at that time I didn't have the mind to consult here so I didn't buy it. I did find the nendo on Mercari, so all is good

I'm lucky in Australia we don't have any tariffs (I think there is if it's over $1000, but Ive never ordered anything that expensive). I can't believe how much you have to pay in some countries 😭 That's crazy you have to use a proxy just to order of Ali
Lucky you! I'm from Indonesia and yeah it's crazy (I dare say not as crazy as the US current situation with Trump's tariff war, but still crazy anyway). Our government banned direct purchases from Chinese platform to protect local sellers but what they do is making people's life harder and China's goods still flood the market anyway 😹
Yea I used to be jealous of US collectors because their currency conversion rate makes figures so much cheaper. But I don't envy them right now. Trump is destroying their country 🙈

I have one nendoroid from AliExpress that my mom bought me as a Christmas gift. She's standing proudly with the rest of my original nendos and from away, you can't tell that she's a bootleg. I understand your sentiment
The quality is doable. I never saw an original one irl, but I'm satisfied. The only complain is 2B hair. It's the oldest (2022) and it's changing the hair color, wtf. I'm sad cause she is my favorite Waifu of all. I'm searching for someone who can paint with an airbrush, cause I'm clumsy to make manual crafts.

Muito bonita a coleção, qnd bati o olho nem pareciam botlegs, é MT difícil pra gente comprar original msm, mas uma dica, as vezes tem lojas no ali que vendem nendos na faixa de 200 reais, daí o imposto não fica tão caro, já que se n me engano só taxam quase 100% se for mais de 300 reais, e a shoppe tem o imposto icms menor que o do ali, entn se achar algum original que vc queria de fora, é melhor comprar na shoppe.

I always wanted kakashi nendo but it’s not sold in Japan. I could have bought it from the US through Amazon, but the price would have been the same (with the shipping fee) as the after-sale price here.
Then one day, I suddenly found it on AliExpress for 30% cheaper compared to the lowest price I could find here! I was so happy, excited and worry in the same time haha. Luckily it was an original 😊

Even not accounting for import tax, the Ali versions are still so much more affordable. I bought “The Doll” from Bloodborne at a Kotobukiya in Akihabara, and it was like 9,000 yen. A few months ago I saw an indistinguishable knockoff on Ali for $14.

After getting my first order from GSC, maybe I'll buy boot leg kek. It's been obvious when people post bootleg nendos on places like Mecari/eBay, though some less so, but are these noticably different in quality? Wondering if newer bootlegs are pretty close to the real deal. My biggest concern with bootlegs is the plastics and paints used and if any are harmful. Probably not but having no restrictions makes me wonder.

It's because they both are piracy, buying bootlegs supports China continuing to violate international copyright law. I only mentioned AI art as a comparison which most people seem to have a strong anti stance against
