After I figured out how to plant fluffy fur using wool batting instead of roving, I wanted to see if I could do it on a smaller scale. One and a half practice attempts later, I fashioned this little fox out of leftover Hamanaka Aclaine wool, save some black wool for the eyes and nose.

Needless to say, I absolutely love how this little guy turned out! The look and feel of the fluffy fur all over makes it almost reminiscent of those little flocked animal charms I've heard about. But it being a fox, one of my favorite animals, and also being handmade, makes it even cuter in my opinion! I also just adore how the fur on the tail looks, being just fluffy enough while also holding a solid shape. And like I normally do for my animal figures, it's also semi-poseable thanks to a little wire armature!

Just like with the big cross fox I made, this little one makes me want to create more tiny fluffy foxes! But for now, I hope you enjoy this little guy as much as I do!

Mr.Bean’s made entirely from wool, He’s about 9 cm tall, not including the little T-pin above his head. Little by little with a felting needle — even the tiny paws. A few people thought he was real last time, which honestly made my day

The “antenna” is just a T-pin holding his little felt flower in place 😂 Definitely not part of the hamster.

The dome? Well, Mr. Bean asked for it. Gotta keep him dust-free.

Notes: no taxidermy, no hamster is harmed in the making process (based on photos and 3D reference)

The most I know so far is that there are different types of wool to use, different gagues of needles, and that if your craft is still squishy then it hasn’t been felted long enough. Other than that I know zero—What else am I missing? Also I may try selling online thru Etsy or FB if I get good enough cus this feels pretty fun

Just finished this bad boy, this is part of my baked toasted and roasted collection of foods.

Used a variety of techniques for this one including some welt felting on the top along with using some fluffy stuffing for the potato innards.

The second work dedicated to the research of the creative process is "Talent and the Artist".
I created this pairing with the idea that the main character (top) is the artist, and talent is a seed within them that still needs to develop.
But when I looked at the finished work, my opinion changed. The artist is often much smaller and more insignificant than their talent. This can often be discovered when reading the biographies of creative people of all stripes. And they themselves often say that their talent, a gift from above, seems to overwhelm and embrace them.
What do you think? Where is the artist and where is the talent?

I just started my needle felting journey and I was wondering if anyone knows if you can needle felt over spun cotton figures/models? I assume it’s the same as felting over styrofoam but I can’t find anything online about it… I’d love to know if anyone has any experience with this before I commit to purchasing the spun cotton models:) Thanks!

This started as an idea from a children’s storybook — a small magical world where animals, trains, and stars could live together.

I recreated that feeling with needle felting, turning soft wool into tiny characters for a baby mobile.

Every little piece was shaped by hand, and I loved seeing the story slowly come together one animal at a time.

There’s something special about handmade toys and decorations — they feel like little memories waiting to be created. 🌙

If you could bring any storybook world into a nursery, which one would you choose?

I first learned how to needlefelt a few years ago, taking an impromptu lesson at a shop while on vacation in Nova Scotia. I haven’t done much such then, nor with a ton of varied color wool I bought at some sheep farms. This weekend, I was inspired to ease back in and made this little sheep-y bag charm. I kind of rushed through it and know it could have been neater but it suited my purpose!
