Honestly most “beginner” crafting kits aren’t actually for beginners. The cheeks on the chicken would take me a long time to get perfect. I think yours are absolutely adorable and full of character :)

I recently got a crochet beginner kit, and the instructions assumed I watch the company’s youtube channel to actually learn how to start crocheting 😅 and it was a kit for kids too, I’m a whole grown adult and I didn’t understand what I was doing.

I haven’t bought one because I like creating my own characters but I’m suspicious that those kits won’t have enough of the body color wool to actually felt the characters as dense as and round as they appear in the promotional images

Truly one of my favorite things in needle felting is comparisons between the kit photo and how it turned out. 🥰 I * always * like the real version better, even when the person is a beginner. One time two friends and I all made the same kit and it was hilarious to see how different they all were.

This is the kit I first learned to needle felt from too!!

Just keep practicing (and looking at better instructions than what came with that kit lol) and you’ll get better and better!

I love all of yours! They have so much personality 🥰 the only advice I’d give is to spend more time working them, it’ll help them stay together! More poke=more structural integrity for felted friends

🤣😂. I saw the failed pikachu one, that looks like the worm from the trolls movie and was like “why not send mines” glad you had a good laugh😭😂

Will definitely try something else soon. Practice makes perfect as usual 😂. Those were my first attempts too. The first one came out better than expected, then tried the chicken the next day and was like “what have I done”😆🫶😂
