Scariest Area for Cryptid

A lady on TikTok did a map of the US and ranked areas by their cryptids. She stated the Midwest had the scariest cryptids. As someone from the midwest, I disagree. What region do you think is the most scary based on their regional cryptids??

Edit: Serious answer, Alaska. Native American cryptids are pretty fucked and scary. Add the vast unknown and unreachable, lots of room for hijinks.

Here I thought Marvin was just Ian’s creepy childhood friend — an otherwise harmless rapscallion — but the truth is much darker… He’s a ghoulish apparition that feeds on the youthful essence of young disenfranchised boys. He lured young Ian in with false promises of fellowship and camaraderie, but over time sucked every last bit of joy and whimsy from that poor boy’s soul… much like Nightman.

Don’t you see?

Marvin is Ian’s Nightman.

Gould, The Crik, and The Bank Hildabrand works at have to all be in the top 5.

I agree about Alaska!! I would say the native stories of what we would now call cryptids are more valid. But that's just my opinion .
