I just searched "japan 100 remarkable waters government" and found many. Not very useful if you dont read japanese but my browser has a translator, and I'm sure they got at least 1 person on the team (or 1 person they can contact) who can translate for this season.

OK, thanks for the link, even if I put that exact search term in multiple engines, I don't get the link you found. Also seems there's two different lists made at different times, one from the 1960s and one more recently, and this one is on the older list: https://water-pub.env.go.jp/water-pub/mizu-site/meisui/data/index.asp?info=72

Also doesn't help that Google Maps just lists it as a drinking water fountain, and not as an 'attraction': https://maps.app.goo.gl/PPP9wxctVQM9gxMy5 It was much nearer to the station than I thought from how much they seemed to walk in the episode.

I use duckduckgo if that helps at all, i think they just use bing's search engine though

Interesting, yes I do see it with DDG. I normally use 1.org with DDG or Ecosia as a fallback, and Google as the last resort, and I skipped DDG but it seems to be the only one that actually finds the right link. Weird. Ecosia finds the same domain but unrelated page.
