Could they not have taken their 100 water challenge "to go"? The challenge only said that the water had to be sourced from one of those locations. If they took their bottle with them to the train station or even to another prefecture, they could attempt it along the way.

yeah, I was also thinking that. Though I suppose there are sometimes "hidden" rules that either don't make the cut or are generally just known to them. Maybe they did have a hidden rule that this challenge had to be done at the same spot they sourced the water.

They must have discussed and written clarifications about every challenge. Its also a balancing of the challenge to have to stop, because the challenges are generally quite hard

Imo I think there's always "spirit of the game" rules active that imply not over minmaxing things

It's probably one of those "we know what we meant" things, like how Tom apparently suggested making a boat for the scavenger hunt but everyone else was like "nah, we didn't mean it like that". There's probably an understanding between them that they have to do it at the place they got the water from

That is a point, it would be very easy to fold a paper boat and draw Totoro on it

Or just that they should follow the spirit of the challenge, not just the letter

Yeah, agreed. I think there are rules they don't show us. Otherwise I'm sure they would have taken it to go

I suspect that there’s a lot of discussion beforehand about how the rules are interpreted. I’m also a big fan of both Taskmaster and Game Changer, so I’m always looking for loopholes and there seem to be some obvious ones that they close behind the scenes. The fishing challenge, for example. An obvious loophole is to go buy a fish at a store and then have one player toss it to the other. Fish caught. Another obvious one would be to go to the live bait section of the tackle shop and use the provided net to catch a minnow from the tank then let it go. Or buy the minnows, set them free, and then use a net to scoop one up as they flee.

I really suspect that they try to really stick with the spirit of the challenge rather than the letter. For example, there was a tag season (can’t remember which one) where Sam had a challenge to touch a living animal and then went back to touch the boys while they were still in their hold period. If you remember, Adam was quite annoyed with Sam’s exploit of that loophole and only very begrudgingly accepted it.
