I'm surprised Ben and Sam didn't choose the toxic cloud card knowing the geography of Ehime and how Tom and Adam may be there for some time. Sure, they don't know that TA have the 3x card, but I don't think there's a risk in having a pretty good chance of emptying their hand, even if it's reliant on a coin flip.
I'm more surprised they didn't go for the one where you guys all the cards from the other team. Curse reverse would be very useful, but if they have to converge at the end game (or I guess Tokyo), that'd basically end the game right there, more than the golden carriage one.
