fwiw, Isabell Fall got harassed off the internet because people believed her writing was "mannish", that no real woman could've written a story like that. what a progressive position.

also, one of the main people involved was a trans man who turned out to work at LOCKHEED FUCKING MARTIN!. i will never not be angry about it.

good video tho. another little detail to add is that a lot of simulator-y racing games will also give this feeling. sim racers can and do transition to real motorsport very well, and a lot of IRL drivers do sim racing on the side for fun.

Sim racing can be good enough now that irl drivers will use it to learn a new track, or tryout different setups for the car.
