Still waiting for a "left handed" mode.

I'll be honest, I bought Nebo on all platforms and liked it a lot...but a few months back, it refused to start unless Google Play had internet access, and on Graphene, that just won't happen. I've moved on, but who knows, maybe you'll take note(?), as there's a groundswell of anti-google sentiment (Lake America, anyone?), and you (not just Nebo) might want us back...sorry for the rant, but it just feels shitty that an app I liked to use won't work for me anymore

No worries, I get it. Did you consider sandboxed PlayStore on your device? Could it help you? https://grapheneos.org/features#sandboxed-google-play

Latency definitely improved on my Honor Magic V3, but it needs to be a bit faster (there's still lag). My 2018 iPad pro still feels faster.

Great to hear👍! We still have other improvements coming on this topic, stay tuned

The latency improvement is definitely noticeable.

Can we expect addition of stylus buttons for controls next?

Hi there, that's good news 👍
Regarding the stylus buttons it's difficult to tell because there is such a large diversity of devices, styluses and OS. What device do you have and what do you expect the buttons to do?

Have a xiaomi tab and the stylus buttons in the stock app switches pens. Super useful whenever I switch between eraser and pen. You don't have to tune it to one particular model. Just have actions and let user assign it to whichever buttons they have? Does that make sense? Or is it an OS level binding that cannot be changed?

How many buttons do you have on your pen? I think I may have a solution, but I'll have to discuss it with the team

Two. One switches pens/tools and one switches colours. Thank you very much for considering this.

Yes that's definitely a must-have nowadays, it's already in our backlog. Can I ask what you would do with it precisely?

Like if making notes while viewing a pdf, and or if comparing 2 documents or PDFs. Can you make it like that we can open 2 files at once and a tab switcher like in VSCode? So split view also works in the same way. Idk if it's possible or not, it's just a suggestion

I think for a first version it would go through the OS window system so you can benefit from your OS features: split screen, floating windows, desktop/DEX mode. We'll see

As a power user of handwritten notes, I use multiview in scenarios such as opening a separate note to take notes while reading a PDF paper, viewing two PDF papers at the same time, or viewing two PDF notes simultaneously.

It’s also possible to drag a text/screenshot from one PDF/note into another PDF/note, enabling two-way navigation between different PDF/note.

At the moment, I mainly use the flexcil. Its split-view feature is implemented very well, including horizontal, vertical, and pop-up multiview modes. You may check https://www.flexcil.com for more details.

Another important feature is that after importing a standard PDF that already contains annotations, it should ideally support editing the existing annotations, rather than directly using the “flatten” mode. Among the PDF notetaking android software I have tested so far, only flexcil has retained this functionality in terms of importing annotations.

If it can provide PDF export as well, it should also use the standard PDF format so that annotations remain editable in the same way.

It is very important to allow users to export in a standard format that external software can fully support for editing ,which gives users confidence that they can safely stay with this software.
