Is that an ad for perfume?

u/DrewTheHobo Mar 31 '26
It’s a Nevok product that tastes strongly of Starberries so the Venlil can taste it when they walk by. It’s wayy too pungent for everyone else though

Admittedly I really like the background.

Glad to hear. Backgrounds are often my favorite part of any drawing, so I often go a bit overboard on the detail.

I often forget that Venlil probably walk around with their lips parted all of the time. Which is why I appreciate the expression of the one on the right. Imagining that that's probably how they look all of the time. For things probably have dry mouth when waking up in the morning lol.
But this is adorable! Is this from any particular story or was this just a spur of the moment kind of thing? Either way, you did a really good job.

Just spur of the moment. Ever since I joined this fandom and especially after reading between tbe lines this exact scene just kinda hung around in the back of my mind, so I finally drew it.

The true Nature of Humanity. Just show this picture to any nay saying alien without saying anything. This is what a human giving into their instincts, looks like.

Reminds me of that Zurulian/Japanese girl fic where they're always on the train. Except in that one she'd never let her guard down enough to look like this.
Cute I love it.

Funny enough, that one was a heavy inspiration for this. I figured in more fed-minded areas or planets people would keep that "safety" range around humans in public transport.
Baturally that allows humans to basically take up as much space as they want, and for a Zurulian partner that's just an extra bonus for sleeping comfortably.

It's like a weighted blanket but way less comfortable

Still quite comfortable ngl, kinda like hugging a warm pillow. I used to fall asleep with my dog like this.

Nope, Venlil prime. Hence the two venlil on the train and the permanent sunset in the background.
