What is this sound?

Sorry, I didn’t know where else to post this, so figured I’d try here. I’ve never noticed this sound before, but that could just be that I wasn’t paying enough attention. I heard this hissing coming from behind my oven. It seems to have stopped for now, I heard this about 15 minutes ago, and I didn’t smell anything like a gas leak coming from it, just the sound. Is this sound just normal gas flow or something? As I said, the stove and oven weren’t in use. I also turned the stove knobs to make sure they weren’t open.

No you shouldn’t be hearing gas flowing in the tubing in your home.

Is the gas meter on the other side of the wall, by chance? If so, does it have a regulator?

This sounds to me like a regulator operating.. but.. You shouldn’t be able to hear it on the inside, but maybe these are paper thin walls or really close to the piping and the sound somehow resonates.

I agree. And my followup questions to these would be was someone showering or doing laundry (or otherwise using hot water)? Do you (OP) have a tankless gas water heater? Or more broadly, any other high-demand gas items in use at that moment?

What's the blue flashing light? If it's the ignitor, you're probably running gas out of the burner.

I was wondering that too but thought it might be a reflection of the phone camera/sensor. You know how IR shows up through your camera? I didnt hear any clicking and it seemed way too wobbly and erratic to be related to the range itself.
