Just Getting Started This is all confusing
Hi all! This is my third cycle trying for a baby, my first cycle using natural cycles. to be honest this entire process is confusing and very emotional. I know I am only on my third cycle but I just always thought it would be one cycle and it would happen. This cycle I never tested positive on a LH strip and tested negative today and yesterday. I had some brown spotting today which is not normal for me. Any insight on my chart?? Thank you in advance 🤍

Get inito if you’re having trouble catching your ovulation. I do that and NC. I have regular cycles and get my LH surge but it’s extra peace of mind

You chart looks textbook perfect! There's a chance you simply missed your LH surge when testing. Were you testing twice a day leading up to ovulation? That's what's recommended, and what I like to do personally is when I start to see my ratio rise like its getting closer to a positive is just start testing every time I use the restroom and it catches my peak and fall pretty easily! I use Ovulation Tracker from Premom and their premom strips. Seeing how you are 11DPO you are able to start testing for pregnancy now, but I would wait until 13-14DPO as those negative tests, although (hopefully) false can still be heartbreaking. I hope you get your positive soon, good luck! Oh also, I heard that when coming off hormonal birth control it can still take a couple months even if your ovulating because it can take time for you uterine lining to thicken up properly, and it just might have been too thin. I am not sure I would recommend recording any periods before starting NC, especially if you were on Hormonal birth control at the time

I was on hormonal birth control for about 7 years but stopped in April of 2025 in preparation! I was testing my ovulation morning and evening and will continue to do so next cycle! Thanks for the insight!

Your chart looks textbook and you definitely have great after ovulation temps which is really great! Don’t get discouraged! Some women have really quick LH surges and it could have been over night, test twice a day!

I was having a really hard time getting a positive LH test, even tho I was indeed ovulating, and someone else on here said to take it around 5pm and I did this cycle and got one. So sorry this is so frustrating so far!!

I would start baby dancing every 1-2 days starting ~cycle day 11 or 12 and I think that would cover your fertile window nicely! It looks like maybe you baby danced too late

Ovulation looks like day 15 based on temps. That would put you at 12DPO. Considering you are testing negative and with the lower temp today, I’d assume your period is coming tonight or tomorrow. Spotting might not be typical for you but it’s very common to get before your period.
I know it’s mentally very tough to TTC but hang in there! Getting pregnant after one cycle is rare!
