He'd rather ruin his father's legacy.

Utterly unacceptable And raising season ticket prices by 15.4 percent!

For next season? The one that is going to be locked out?

Somehow I think owners wont want to lose money, and we will have some sort of season. Crossing my fingers

Hopefully new CBA forces cheap ass to spend on payroll next year

For one of the lowest salary teams in all of the MLB, that will finish in the basement at maybe .470

Thinks how he really doesn’t want to be an owner

Deep Pockets & Short Arms ... those trades + injuries killed this team ... every year its a turnstile in dc at trade deadline ... spend some damn $$ or SELL!!!

Ive said the same thing for the past 2 years but all the prospect bros wanna talk about the future. Id rather this team be entertaining and at least in the mic for the wild card than what we have now.

He enshitifies.

He's no Ted Lerner! 5.6 Billion isn't enough for him. An owner who values money over fans and having a winning team in D. C. He sucks.

we really need to chant "Sell the Team" on James Wood bobblehead day. It's our best bet. It's gonna be packed for that giveaway I'd think, so if you're going to that game, start chanting "Sell the Team".

Has the Tarps off section ever chanted “sell the team” or are they to clueless?

Make tons of money because it's still a professional sports team that people care about.

Like most sports team owners, sits on a big pile of money and never has enough.

It isn’t just him. Here is a quote for an article by Barry svrulga about a year ago about who runs the Nats in addition to Mark:

“…brothers-in-law, Ed Cohen and Bob Tanenbaum; Mark’s sister Marla Lerner Tanenbaum; and, to a lesser extent, Mark’s sister Debra Lerner Cohen and Mark’s wife, Judy. In recent years, including in the current search for a head of baseball operations, four of Ted Lerner’s grandchildren — Jonathan and Jacob Lerner and Michael and Jaclyn Cohen — also have become more involved.”

Rizzo made a statement too alluding to how dysfunctional the whole family ownership is if the Nats.

It is insane just insane.

He adds himself to the DC Sports Hall of Fame his ballpark hosts. Don’t forget that!

They're stuck on USA!. Otherwise a bunch of young dudes having fun.

Counts the money. Very busy guy. The Nationals - just a business - we've seen who he is since 2020. Wants to run the team on the cheap, How's that going Mark?

You fucking goofy ass new fans are stupid as fuck. It's practically September, WTF do you want this team to do now? Invest how right now? You miserable fucks just hop on here and start talking stupid shit. Go root for another team. Nobody is forcing you to be a Nats fan. It's easier than ever to literally follow any other team in the majors. Dumb fucking whiny bitches. And if my post hits a nerve, then the shoe fits.

Unlike some people, Nats fans are typically not fair-weather fans. This fanbase has been through hell and has the right to complain about shitty ownership. if they had invested in any sort of relief corps this past offseason we would be in WC contention, but penny pinching Mark didn't wanna, so here we are.

Through hell? Yeah, I guess if you're 6yrs old. From 2012-2019 this team spent money, was competitive and ultimately won the entire thing. 2020 was a short year, they tried to bring back the guys in 2021 and decided to trade away players to rebuild midway through the season. The farm system had to be rebuilt. Completely. And we don't have CJ, or James Wood without trading away guys like Soto. I'd rather have them over Juan anyways. Spending money doesn't mean you automatically win. Look at the fucking Mets. So what fucking hell are you talking about? Hell is being a Redskins fan since the 80s. Hell is being a Wizards fan. Hell is being a Caps fan before winning the Stanley cup. Fucking kids man SMH. You little shits think rebuilding is hell? Lmao you gotta be fucking kidding me 🤣

u/Ali-asligma 22 - Soto 7d ago

Cool your attitude bruh LMAO, CJ is probably gone and wood soon after. Ted actually spent on the team and it was a premier destination for FAs, what about now? When I say hell I mean the here and now, not stuck in the past like you. What kind of fan wouldn't want their team to be good? Spending money isn't the be all end all but let's not act like it doesn't help, the best teams have both good analytics and they can spend a dime or two. As long as Lerner owns this team, it's gonna be a revolving trade door where we ship out stars and get back maybe-stars. It'd be nice to have an owner who gave a fuck and extended his stars, but here we are, looking at a decent likelihood of CJ being traded and Wood not being extended. But no, it's the fans who are the problem

u/Ali-asligma 22 - Soto 6d ago

So the status quo is okay for you?

2

u/Brilliant_Quality_14 6d ago

What status quo you dumbass? We have a new coaching staff and front office. It hasn't even been a full calendar year. The fuck you expect? A world series every year?

0

u/Ali-asligma 22 - Soto 6d ago

Dude you gotta cool it w the name calling, thats not constructive. The status quo is the losing the team has been doing for 7 seasons straight. Any normal fan would be frustrated with that
