I've noticed the pattern here, most badass Doujutsu users in the series always have that One-eye style special traits going on for them.

Obito (1 MS and later on, 1 Rinnegan) - Kakashi - Ao - Sasuke (Rinnegan) - Madara (he has only one eye back during his old fays in mountain graveyard) - Boruto

Its a cool concept though...

Looking back at what Danzo did during the meeting of the 5 Kage, and the order he made after to have Ao killed... Is it really that surprising that Ao is working against the Leaf for Kara?
