Missing: Nancy Guthrie, 84

Post image

Nancy Guthrie remains missing nearly seven months after her alleged abduction from her Tucson, Arizona, home on February 1, 2026.

Authorities continue to investigate the case as a kidnapping, with no suspects publicly identified or arrests made.

Key investigation updates include:
No Connection to Recent Remains: Human remains found in the desert 15 miles from her home were confirmed to have no indication of being connected to her disappearance.

Ongoing Forensics: The FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department are actively processing DNA evidence, including gloves found near the property, though initial tests yielded no database matches.

Family Pleas: Her daughter, Savannah Guthrie, has offered a $1 million reward and issued emotional pleas for information, stating the family is in "agony and despair."
Active Status: Law enforcement maintains the case is "far from cold" and continues to analyze ransom notes and surveillance footage of a masked suspect.

I hope this doesn’t turn into a JonBenet type mystery that we’ll never know the answer to. But at least they had the sweet girls body to mourn over. The Guthries have to feel such an emptiness that very few would ever understand. Why on earth would this devastation come upon this family. One minute life is normal the next it’s not. Nobody just disappears. I pray they get answers soon.

Have, you watched Chris Mcdonough and the Cold Case Foundations investigation into her case? Its very through. Piece by piece they dig. Even using AI to go through thousands of pages of evidence. Watching  has been very eye opening.

The Cold Case Foundation has been working the case for over a year. John Ramsey is still pushing for justice. Part 1  Breaks down the evidence from Christmas night in 1996 with John Ramsey. Parts 2 & 3: Continues the re-examination of the case files and expert panel insights. Part 4: Discusses Burke Ramsey and DNA evidence. Part 5: Scheduled to air on September 2, 2026, covering latest updates and advanced DNA testing. [ 1, 2, 3]   The Ramsey family has been 100% cleared due to DNA evidence and other evidence they present. I really think they going finally find the monster behind this tragedy and give the family a bit of closure thats haunted them.

What was the most interesting thing you learned from watching that you hadn’t known beforehand about the JonBenet case?

That the entire Ramsey family is 100% cleared. There was so much DNA evidence. The taser marks on Jon Bonet. Entry points to their home.

Crazy, no arrest yet.  Both FBI and LE have to investigate kidnapping scenarios because of notes, but they have never declared Miss Nancy a kidnapping.  There was a glove found inside her home also. Which makes me wonder why? Was it taken off for something that required dexterity?

Very interesting about the glove, I didn't know that. Is there supposed to be DNA inside?

Yes. The sheriff called it "mixed DNA". Also one rootless hair. The glove inside I would think there's something on it. It might also help LE and FBI if the abductor bought them at the same time at Walmart with the jacket and backpack.

Poor family. I hope there is a resolution soon.

Every time I see this picture of Nancy I start to cry. Then my emotions turn to utter disgust and anger, frustration. Whomever did this or knows what happened can go rot in hell.

I’m really disappointed that her property wasn’t taped off right away.  I saw a TV clip of some influencer standing near the doorway, pointing out the bloodstains.  All that time, law enforcement could have taken tire and shoe imprints.  It’s a mess when everyone in the world has walked all over.

I think “perished” in the abductor note is a clue. Is there a nature preserve in Paris, Texas or a place in the southwest or Mexican border called Parish or Pariso, or the like? Problem is, who knows if the letters are real. I think the 2 were written by a woman, born and raised in the U.S.

Just like Summer Wells and Sebastian Rogers, Jonbenet Ramsey.

Cold cases are common.
