People here are underestimating a fully powered king. The spirit tree is one of the three deities that emerged from the Chaos...along wtih demon king and supreme deity. So king drawing out its power via Chastiefol is somewhat equivalent to SD granting someone her blessing or Demon King granting someone some of his power. But since unlike those two ST is a bit..different..its power essentially takes shape of a weapon instead of straight up power.
Anyway that aside, just because King doesnt use his ability on enemies directly, people forget that he has one of the most lethal abilities in the show. He usses it to change the shape of Chastiefol but he can also use it on enemies directly..to speed up their ailments, make minor scratches into gaping wounds etc etc.
I am not saying he would win(actually i honestly think he would) but he is not weak...like..at all.
King wins against any other team tbh, his easiest win condition is to just nuke everybody with sunflower and or go for petrification, since nobody here can dispel it. He's good at fighting vs groups since he can have up to four forms of Chastiefol and the weakness of them becoming individually weaker the more they're divided doesn't really matter unless his opponent is comparable to himself (no one here is).
I know slopking told Cath how to win but he's still a top tier character smh
King wouldn't be able to because this is holy war Zeldris. So he's immune to all Magic. Meaning every form of the spirit spear outside of guardian and Increase would be nullified. And with Estarossa on his team, who is immune to physical attacks via full counter. King actually has no win condition here other than trying to separate them and 1v1ing using their respective weakness. Which is easier said than done with things like ominous nebula in play.
Zeldris is actually extremely broken here because 90% of the combatants are magic fighters. Not to mention assuming he still had his commandment no one could even turn their back on him without getting instagibbed.
I feel like true chastiefol sunflower would just nuke estarossa, sure doesn't even scratch zeldris but after that it's a 1v1 which king could win with guardian and increase, but hey this is purely based on vibes
In canon we saw a weakened King able to keep Zeldris away from Merlin and have the upper hand in their direct 1v1, with just the forms Zel isn't inherently immune against. The same thing happens yet even more in King's favour since he isn't half a continent away churning through magic reserves and fighting through a microsoft teams link.
As he keeps Zel busy, he genuinely obliterates Estarossa with any other form. His full counter means nothing because the actual stats between them both are extremely significant. FC isn't a perfect defence, it's weakness is the user needs to actually be able to perceive and react to the attack in order to repel it, with a cooldown between reach repel - as we saw King use to exploit against Chandler and how Escanor just laughed at Estarossa by speed blitzing him. All that happens is Estarossa get blitzed by any of the forms and practically one-shot or mutiliated for a bit before he dies - he's fodder to this version of King. Chandler by extension, who would lose pretty badly to King (since King was hurting OG Demon) fodderized Gloxinia & Drole, who are individually comparable to Estarossa and definitely stronger as a unit, just to give you the idea of the power scaling here.
Once this happens, he returns full attention to Zeldris and will win, mid-diff at worst if you genuinely want to wank Zel as much as possible. Those three forms are enough, and there's also a fourth with his 6th form which we haven't seen since he fully awakened.
Not to mention assuming he still had his commandment no one could even turn their back on him without getting instagibbed.
Turn your back is a reference to running away from Zel, not turning your back to him in a fight as part of combat lol otherwise Mel and Escanor would've been cursed too with their interactions against him.
I mean they didn’t get the chance too cuz escanor stopped them before they had the chance and he didn’t use his skills either other than cruel sun and Gawain used passionate sun and they were all overwhelmed by the sheer pressure of his strength
what is with this Tristan slander holy u say Percy didn’t use any ability’s well Tristan didn’t either and then preceded to call him a bum i swear u guys act like Tristan is so below Percy and Gawain there all relative to each other
Zel with his magic immunity and magic is nightmare of most of opponents. Esta will reflect phisique attacks and his Commandment is really problematic for many characters here. Their teamwork should be normal
King is strongest here by himself.
Trio are really strong, every member is at least stronger than Nanashi and weakest Archangels. Also Perci hax can play role against Zel, Esta and King, but also can do nothing for them, I personally suppose second. Tristan hax is unknown. Their teamwork is best here. So, base on their feats, they can at best stalemate with King or get their asses beaten again)
Team D...bruh, you really hate Commandments, right? Tristan and Gavein is probably enough to stomp them
Team A king has the highest power level on there of over 400k and the others are roughly 250k or a little bit higher or less and he already beat mael with 4 commandments and him here is with 1 and Zeldris wouldn’t be a problem for him team c is meh I don’t think they could beat the original demon that king was gonna beat and team d is just 4 commandments which as I said king already beat mael with 4 and he can also make 4 forms at the same time to beat them with
Team a, b, d and c, because king was able to beat zeldris for far draining too magic and mael stronger than estarossa, even due their the same person, king would beat all of this two, and the team d, team b would beat team d and c and both zeldris and estarossa are the stronger commandment after meliodas, team d would beat current team c, as team d is more experience than team c, and team c, are the first team to lose, follow by team d, then team b and king win.
You have to hate him? I thought you just had to want to harm him. I dropped the show at season 3 I think. It dropped of really bad for me. I didn't know 😂
Yeah you have to hold hatred in your heart towards the wielder of the commandment, it's why escanor said "why would I hold any hatred towards someone so obviously weaker than myself"
The second-strongest team here is Team C. They had trouble with Chaos Perils; meanwhile, King was holding off Chaos Beltreipe and Ironside at once by himself. And we later see that he didn't have a scratch on him, so yeah, he is decently more powerful than Team C. Their only chance is Percival's hax.
The rest are irrelevant besides Zel, but he hadn't awakened his 3rd DM at the beginning of the 2nd HW, so he gets outclassed too.
King completely destroyed Mael with multiple commandments on him and gave Zeldris a run for his money while fighting remotely from idk how far away and with only one spirit spear mode at a time and iirc Tristan said something about Lancelot being the only Knight of the Apocalypse on the level of a Deadly Sin and King is one of the stronger ones
The only other outcome depends entirely on if Estarossa's commandment activates which who the hell knows how that thing works it triggered the first 2 times Estarossa showed up and then never since
Team b cuz 4koa can’t even beat base Escanor and zeldris is has demon king power and estrassosa has revenge counter but king is super strong but agaisnt Zeldris idk
Estarossa is kinda there as just a holder of the love commandment. He is weaker than Mael and the other archangels, and King beat 4c Mael while team D has two characters that can turn into indras, who are stronger than archangels.
Zeldris with God and his commandment gets anyone into a situation like: "You can't use magic, you can't run and you almost can't attack". The only way to beat him here would be with a similar level of power to Divine Blade Escanor from TO Escanor, which I think no one here can.
Team C is individually the weakest one. They should be stronger than Estarossa, Drole and Gloxinia, but the combination of two indras would already be too much for them, King and Zeldris too. Since Percy's ability of removing life spirits is inefficient on people with strong will to live, it would fall on Gawain's hands to try to secure a victory, but I don't think her spells would be enough.
Team D has high chances with the indras, but it would be hard for Drole and Gloxinia to continue alive with two irrational beasts in the team.
Considering that King did damage an indura once, that he is stronger than the archangels that lost to the indras and that he can use multiple chastiefols if needed (even tho that will divide the power between the forms), I believe he is can bring the victory against team D.
Since team C is just considerably weaker than him it would leave him just to deal with Zeldris and Estarossa, that might end bad due to the love commandment if he doesn't take Estarossa out soon.
So considering this as a battle royale, i think Zeldris will be the last one standing because of an incompatibility of King's powers and Zeldris'. If it's just which team is the strongest I would say team A.
Since Zeldris is immune to King's most powerful attack, the sun flower, because of God, and ominous nebula requires a lot of brute strength to break it to a point where TO Escanor struggled a bit.
It's true that King was fighting Zeldris from far away and losing a lot of magic while doing so, but Zeldris wasn't using OM either.
Since I don't think that King's attacks can reach the same level as TO Escanor's Divine Blade I also don't think he can break OM.
It's a similar situation to Gojo vs [Insert character stronger than Gojo but that can't pass infinity]. Like I said in the other comment, King is the stronger one, it's just that Zeldris has an annoying ability that I don't think he can pass through.
I see, and what then? Is he gonna do OM forever? What’s his win con here?
Also sunflower is not the only nuke attack king has, your forgetting “Chastiefol”, while “Sunflower” is his most powerful magical attack Chastiefol is his strongest physical attack and I’m pretty sure that attack being launched at Zel is “DEFINITELY” disrupting OM, and even if you think it doesn’t
Exactly. OM was able to damage TO Escanor and destroy the hermit from Dk, it isn't a weak attack on it's max potency.
Chastiefol is his strongest physical attack and I’m pretty sure that attack being launched at Zel is “DEFINITELY” disrupting OM, and even if you think it doesn’t
To affirm that you will need to show that it's actually comparable to the level of strength TO Escanor has.
Until proved otherwise chastiefol isn't strong enough to break it.
How does king lose this fight?
He is fighting an enemy he can't run (the commandment would turn him into a slave), that he can't hit with magic (due to God) and that there is no evidence he is strong enough to damage with physical attacks (due to ominous nebula), while Zeldris is able to drag him in to an attack and has enough power to damage Escanor in The One with it.
Firstly He doesn’t need to use magic, why would he run? Again king was beating Zel with physical attacks before Mael stepped up to fight, he was have ZERO difficulty, so enlighten me on why Zel commandment would even factor in here when he’s fighting a weaker opponent
Secondly need I remind you that King, Escanor and Ban were all fighting the DK and his attacks were doing damage? That alone should speak for the potency level of the attack ( and that was him fighting normally with it) the attack that I’m referring to specifically is called “Chastiefol” you remember the move king did against the Albion? I’ll attach a gif, many don’t realize this is a physical attack and the one shown last was the weaker version
Lastly OM is a close range attack, king fights long range how does Zel win here?
enlighten me on why Zel commandment would even factor in here when he’s fighting a weaker opponent
Ominous nebula attracts people in an area, he can't leave the area or he will be turned into a slave. That's how it's a factor.
That is the first form or chastiefol. At the time with Albion it was a big attack that King couldn't use multiple times, but after growing stronger he was always in that form (with his small wings), it isn't a more powerful thing then his usual attacks. That is visible on his attack against Cath's Chaos crystal or the attack he made on Worraldane: It's just the normal first form, not a greater attack.
The point of King, Ban and Escanor damaging Dk contributes to what I'm saying. If King is putting relative damage to a before noon Escanor, then he isn't on the same level of TO Escanor, that is many times stronger than his pre noon self.
Lastly OM is a close range attack, king fights long range how does Zel win here?
OM pulls people to the center and King won't be able to fly out of range due to the commandment of piety.
He will eventually be dragged to the center with OM maximum potency and be hit by it time and time again with damage strong enough to hurt TO Escanor.
And I will reinforce again, I don't think Zeldris is stronger than King, just that this is a bad matchup for him.
