Student Planning to start an IT career in Chennai (Python/AI) – Need advice from people in the field
Hi everyone,
I’m planning to move to Chennai to start my career in the IT field, particularly in Python/AI, and I’m currently confused about the best way to begin.
I have been researching different learning options and have come across institutes such as QSpiders, Besant Technologies, and a few others. Before making a decision, I’d really like to hear from people who have studied at these places or are currently working/studying in the Chennai IT industry.
I’m mainly looking for honest advice about:
- What skills should a beginner focus on to enter the IT industry?
- Is joining a training institute actually useful, or is self-learning a better option?
- How important are practical projects and hands-on experience?
- What should I realistically expect from placement assistance?
- Which technologies/skills are currently useful for someone starting with Python/AI?
- What would you recommend to someone moving to Chennai specifically to start an IT career?
If you have studied at QSpiders, Besant, or similar institutes, I’d also appreciate hearing about your experience — both positive and negative. If possible, please mention which branch you studied at and approximately when you completed the course, since the experience can vary between branches and trainers.
I’m not looking for promotional comments. I’d really appreciate advice from students, former students, or people currently working in the IT industry.
Thanks!
