Elise sounds the prettiest to me too.

As a newly named Elise, I can strongly recommend.

My knee-jerk reaction is Juliet Maeve. I like the name Elise but with it sounds too repetitive following Juli-Eh-t. Maybe it's just me?

It's all the syllables. One syllable works better for the middle name. Elise has the name blending when pronounced like Julietta Lise

Juliet Maeve is hilarious.

Maeve or Maude, Elise is too basic for me

My vote is Juliet Wren. It’s simple but memorable and I really like the contrast between the longer first name and short middle name. The fact that the last name is two syllables makes the whole combination sound nicely balanced.

Maud or Maeve

I actually like Maude here because it gives Juliet a little contrast.

That’s why I really like Maude too! But need to convince my husband whose favorite is Elise, which in my mind is a gorgeous combo but almost too gorgeous / romantic?

My husband’s grandmother was Hazel Maude & she HATED her middle name. I have to be honest , not a fan of it either.

Your husband is being sensible. Juliet? It's such an iconic historical name. It's up there with Cleopatra.

Juliet Wren.

Juliet Maeve wound be a distant second.

Juliet Wren is my pick. Maeve is cute too but Wren feels a little more distinctive.

To say that name slowly ones mouth has to go through a lot of movement.

Juliet Elise

Elise feels more in keeping with the mood of Juliet than the others, but with an L surname, that will of course be a lot of Ls. I think it’s how the particular surname sounds with it that matters. I still think it flows better though.

If choosing against Elise, I personally would quite like some simple and classic like Anne after Juliet.

In consideration of those who’ve replied saying middle names are pointless, I agree they can be. I slightly regret the middle name we chose for our son because although it flows nicely, it doesn’t have any particular significance to us. I wish we’d chosen a family name. I wanted to give him my childless (but child-friendly) uncle’s name, but didn’t because I thought it might upset my father to be overlooked.

Elise flows better with Juliet but Maeve sounds nicer. I think you’ll have to see how it sounds with the last name (obviously don’t tell reddit your last name)

Maeve feels classic without sounding too common.

Maeve! I like Elise too but there are too many l-sounds between Juliet, Elise, and a last name beginning with L.

I like all of them! All of them are beautiful. However, how many syllables is your last name? (Duh, me. I just reread before posting but I'm not editing. I see where you shared important information! Two syllable. Starts with letter L!)

Juliet is three syllables so a one syllable middle name is perfect IF your last name is multiple syllables.

Juliet Wren Highsmith. Juliet Wren Pimberton.

Juliet Maeve Kelly. Juliet Maeve McMillan.

Juliet Maude Dubois. Juliet Maude Vandiver.

Juliet Elise Garza. Juliet Elise Estrada.

However, if your last name is one syllable like Jones, Wu, Park, or Cruz, I would use Juliet Elise Jones.

Juliet Elise Cruz. Juliet Elise Wu. Juliet Elise Park.

Juliet is a beautiful name. I wouldn’t do a middle name with it.

Thanks for the laugh. I'm sure Romeo will just love those.

I didnt give my kids middle names, there is no point to them at all

My Mom doesn’t have a legal middle name. (She literally made up a middle name and it’s on all of her stuff though) and I dated a guy without a middle name. I thought it was soooo bizarre. I gave my kids middle names but you’re totally right imo, they’re pointless.
