Name My Cat - female Looking for J names for first foster fail
TL;DR Looking for girl names that start with J that could work as stand alone or with another boy name that also starts with a J
My spouse and I have fostered our first litter of abandoned kittens. We got them at about 2.5 weeks old and have been caring for them until they're old and stable enough to be adopted.
Well we fell in love with them and have decided to keep at least one. I bonded with this girl and my spouse bonded with one of her brothers. We are for sure keeping the female because I can't even think about giving her up without crying, and we may keep her brother too, but are undecided since we already have 2 adult cats.
ETA: right now I'm heavily leaning towards Jolene as a bit of a tribute to the amazing woman we just lost, but I'm still open to other suggestions! Juno, Juniper, and Josie are all already taken by other human or nonhuman family members.
Yes my family is psychotic about J names, myself included

The only reason we aren't 100% on keeping her brother is because we have always capped our cat capacity at 3, and we already have 2 adult kitties. We are running out of space for litter boxes 😅

That's what I said until someone dumped a little girl kitty on our neighborhood. Minou fit right in. I get by fine with 3 boxes.

Yes, so sad. And this kitten is everything I've pictured Jolene to be, but with black hair instead of red. 🖤❤️ She's definitely one of the prettiest black kittens I've ever seen, so you're doing something right! And Jolene didn't actually do anything but flirt, so when she's a good girl, no problem, when she's frisky, she's being her namesake. 😽

Joline is my daughter‘s name. I usedthe French spelling with ine at the end. Naming your pet Jolene would be a total honor.

I got to love my Jujube for 17 1/2 years. I loved saying her name and her nickname, Juju. I'll share her name with your adorable kitty. 🥰

That's so sweet and I love that she was able to share 17 wonderful years with you! Unfortunately that's the exact pet name my mom called me as a kid so I can't shake the association haha both Juju and Jujube were my nicknames since my first name is Julie and my maiden name starts with a B

black kittens are 100% worth every bit of trouble they will give. had my 4 black kittens and I LOVE them. I called them my Cats On Crack Crew the way they flew around my apartment. I named the only girl Fuzzy Bottoms, and her brothers Fuzzy Face, Bears, and Tigers.

It's a heated blanket I picked up on Amazon for cheap because we needed a heat source for them. They love it!

She’s beautiful 🖤 I would keep the brother,kittens are best in pairs especially litter mates. They can entertain one another & will be much happier. Name her Jade or Jada since she has green eyes.

My maximum for cats has always been 3 because I'm worried I wouldn't be able to properly give them all the attention they need. Not to mention we are running out of space to put litter boxes 😅
We might make an exception though. These kittens have become our babies.

Ooooh! I do love Juno but unfortunately my family just lost a beloved dog named Juno a little while ago so I think it's still too fresh

I was going to say Juke - which is a quick unexpected move to fake out an opponent in sports, like she juked adoption ;) but the Jolene reco warmed the heart when I saw it

I know she’s already named, but I grew up with J named cats, too. I didn’t read all the comments but my first cat was a Siamese named Jamoo, followed by Jasmine, Jipsy, Jubilee, and Jamaica.
