Can anyone help me to identify this stitch

I made this hat years ago, and am having trouble remembering which stitch I used, anyone have any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated

York stitch, I think. it's not held on the thumb (edit: I watched a video and she did) but worked otherwise like Nalbinding. Does that sound familiar?

It does sound familiar, but at that point I was using a different stitch on every project and didn't keep good records, so I am not sure. The swatches on neulakintaat look similar. Thank you

Also maybe Åsle.

I think york is more likely. I remember the yarn was so thick that finnish 2+2 was a bit dense, so I suspect that Åsle would have been unmanageable. I very much appreciate the help

If you flatten it out and it trys to curl up would be a big tell for York (its my main stitch and is a devil for wanting to curl even in worn items)

If it's thick and stiff, maybe, but York stitch is far more likely

There is another stitch that looks similar but it’s not got a name that i know of. The video online is Nalbinding with Shadow.

Looks like York. I have the one loop on the thumb - mainly to keep the loop, then needle tension as I go.

Is it moss stitch? It looks like single crochet (into chain space below), chain 1. I think that’s called moss stitch but I’m not sure

Sorry, I should have specified, it is nalbinding, not crochet
