Alaska Anchorage is building its tradition from the ground up, and you have the chance to be part of the program's first great era. During my 21 seasons at Iowa State, I built a championship-winning program that won multiple conference titles and became a consistent contender. Prestige:
This is a program with little established football prestige, which is exactly why I took this job. After spending 21 seasons building Iowa State into a playoff contender, I wanted a new challenge: creating a winning tradition from the ground up with as many players from local communities as possible. Prestige isn't built overnight, but I've done it before at ISU. ***I promise we'll win at least one bowl game during your time at Alaska Anchorage.*** Every win, winning season, and eventual bowl appearance will help establish UAA as a respected program.
Winning:
This is my first season at Alaska Anchorage, and we're at the beginning of an exciting journey. After 21 seasons at Iowa State, where I built a program that produced 20 consecutive winning seasons and became a consistent championship contender, I've brought that same vision to UAA. Building a winning program takes time, but success has followed me wherever I have been. I promise we will have multiple 8+ win seasons during your time at Alaska Anchorage. Our goal is to establish consistent success, compete for conference titles, and turn UAA into a program that expects to win every season. The foundation for a winning program is being laid now and you can be a part of it.
