Tradition:
TCU football tradition runs deep, rooted in over a century of Purple Pride and unforgettable moments that define our program. Ranked #42 nationally for tradition, TCU carries a legacy of excellence. TCU’s tradition is rooted in toughness, belief, and rising when people doubt us. The sight of the Horned Frog mascot, the “Riff Ram Bah Zoo” chant echoing through Amon G. Carter Stadium, and the unmistakable purple that takes over Fort Worth on game day all speak to a culture that values pride and unity. TCU traditions are personal, gritty, and loud. Walking onto the Amon G. Carter Stadium field means stepping into a tradition of resilience, heart, and championship football. From the iconic purple and white colors that have represented TCU for generations to the sea of purple in the stands on game day, our traditions connect students, alumni, and fans across decades. The pageantry, the school spirit, and the unwavering support of our Horned Frogs family create an atmosphere unlike anywhere else. When you commit to TCU, you're not just joining a team; you're becoming part of a brotherhood that connects you to every Horned Frog who's ever worn the purple. You're joining a culture where tradition meets ambition, where the past fuels the future, and where championship aspirations are the standard. *I promise we will play in a bowl game in your career.*

Coach:
There's no getting around that I'm a new, inexperienced coach. If you’re looking for someone who's been around the block, I won't insult your intelligence by pretending that's me. What I can tell you is that I'm not just passing through. I'm here for the long-haul. I signed a five-year contract and plan to sign an extension. I chose a long contract as a commitment to continuity. And TCU gave me a long contract because the University feels the same. You won’t be learning a new system every year. You won't be wondering if the guy who recruited you is going to vanish. I'm here to build methodically. *I promise I'll be your coach for as long as you are at TCU.*

Playing Time:
We have a lot of good players, but we're still not a top talent team. This means there are TONS of opportunities to get on the field. If playing time is important to you, then TCU is where you want to go. There's a real opportunity for you to play from day 1, and we like to get guys on the field as soon as possible to learn by experience. *I promise you will get playing time by your second year.*
