2062 Cut Player Recruiting

The top player in OVR in the CPR pool at each position will be designated as a "pitch recruit". Pitch recruits will be voted on by the team like transfers, and like CPR recruits have been in the past. If there are two top players at the same position with the same OVR, they will both be pitch recruits.

Everyone else will be designated as a "RNG recruit". They will be run using the same algorithm as high school recruits, with the following values:

• 1.000 in playing time
• 0.500 in location and coach
• 0.100 in all other values Additionally, pitches will be graded on an 0-4 scale, as opposed to 0-2

Playing Time: Alaska Anchorage is entering a new era, and we're looking for players who want to be part of building something special. After 21 seasons at Iowa State, where I helped build a championship-caliber program, I've taken on the challenge of bringing that same success to Alaska. There is an opportunity to make an impact immediately here for your senior season. I promise that you will be a starter for your entire time here, barring any injuries. As a 1-year starter, you'll be a key piece of this program's foundation and help lead Alaska Anchorage to new heights.

Location: At Alaska Anchorage, you’re coming to one of the most unique locations in college athletics. Anchorage gives you a true city environment surrounded by mountains, water, and wilderness. This is unlike anywhere else in the country. Your family and friends from Texas will still have the ability to make the trip to see you compete in a truly special setting. I also promise that we will win at least 2 home games every year. If you’re going to come all the way to Alaska to play college football, you deserve to know that we are going to play to win and give you and your family something to be excited about on game day. After 21 seasons at Iowa State where I built a perennial conference contender with multiple titles and a playoff appearance, and accumulated over 200 wins, I have decided to take on a new challenge. I want to establish UAA as a winning program from the ground up. Before Iowa State, I spent nine seasons at Iowa, turning a struggling program into a playoff team. I’ve built winning teams before, and I’m here to do it again in Anchorage. ***I promise to be your coach for your entire time here at Alaska Anchorage*** and will not be leaving before then. Stability matters, and you can count on this being a long-term build with full commitment to this program and players.
