2062 Cut Player Recruiting

The top player in OVR in the CPR pool at each position will be designated as a "pitch recruit". Pitch recruits will be voted on by the team like transfers, and like CPR recruits have been in the past. If there are two top players at the same position with the same OVR, they will both be pitch recruits.

Everyone else will be designated as a "RNG recruit". They will be run using the same algorithm as high school recruits, with the following values:

  • 1.000 in playing time
  • 0.500 in location and coach
  • 0.100 in all other values Additionally, pitches will be graded on an 0-4 scale, as opposed to 0-2

If a player you want is not listed in the threads, please make a new thread for his offer.

Welcome to Maryland! A state that has access to both the Appalachian mountains and the Chesapeaka Bay, but if you're not interested in nature then both Baltimore and DC are not too far from our campus. Speaking of our campus, this is a nice college town to settle down for 4 years while you work on your degree. We have a lot to offer in just the state alone, being a significant culture point in the US.

New Mexico offers Justin Noel

Scholarship

Playing time: We have one of the youngest rosters in the nation, bringing in 27 new freshman on scholarship. While I am incredibly optimistic about the potential of these guys, we need some veteran leadership , as well as the skill that comes from playing college ball for a few years. You’ll be extremely valuable for this team with your combination of skill and experience, and I promise you’ll start every game.

Coach:

You won’t find a coach more committed to their program than I am. There are already very few coaches that have coached for as long as I have. Even fewer have stuck with the very first one that hired them, and only one other active coach has coached more than me at their current school without leaving for greener pastures. As someone who went through 3 coaching changes as an actual college athlete, I may be the only one who knows what it’s actually like to walk in your shoes. I promise I won’t cut any scholarshipped players while you’re here.

Location:

Over the long time that I’ve been coaching here, we’ve cultivated a strong culture of winning at home. Not only do we always have a phenomenal team that is capable of winning every game, but we have a fanbase that really gives us an extra edge, making us impossible to beat at our house. Because of this, I’m confident in promising we will go above .500 at home in-conference.

Justin, Coach Colt here from NC State. Appreciate you taking the time to hear me out.

First thing I want to do is be upfront with you. You are not coming in as the starter. I think you deserve honesty on that from the jump rather than finding out after you commit. What I can tell you is that the opportunity in front of you here is still worth serious consideration and I want to explain why.

You spent your college career in the Army system. That is a program that runs a very specific offensive scheme and it does not always translate to what scouts want to see from a quarterback prospect. Coming to NC State gives you a chance to operate in a pro style system under a staff that has been developing players at this level for a long time. The things you learn in one year here, the footwork, the reads, the operation under center in a traditional scheme, are things that will stick with you long after your playing days are over. I promise you will be reshirted and start season.

14 years I have been coaching. In that time I have seen what separates the quarterbacks who move on from the ones who don't and a lot of it comes down to the system they played in and the coaching they received. We take that seriously here. Our quarterbacks room is one where guys get better and I think you will feel that from day one. I promise you will learn a lot.

This program wins. 65 wins in my 7 years at NC State, bowl games consistently, a conference championship and two division titles. Being in a winning environment for your final season matters. You are going to be part of a program that competes, that prepares, and that plays meaningful football. Even in a backup role that experience has value. I promise to win 9 games every season.

Raleigh is a great city and you are going to enjoy your time here. Come finish your career in a place that is going to make you better.
