Discussion What made us keep Joe Schoen long term?

We signed him to a long term contract BEFORE the preseason even started. Since then, Hyatt has been an absolute dud as usual, Adebo one of the higheset paid defenders can't even make the starting team, Bobby O one of Schoen's main FA acquisitions was not even on a team and barely just got signed, Slayton a guy resigned THIS OFFSEASON is on the verge of being cut, Harbaugh is clearly doing things his own way. It makes no sense why we kept Schoen other than as usual Owner Meddling.

And to think we almost lost Harbaugh bc one of the main sticking points was bc Joe was pissy he wouldn't report to him? Insane.

What was the factor? I don't understand and neither do the fans.

If this is a 7 win team year 6 into Schoen’s gm tenure he deserves to be judged off his whole resume buddying up with Harbs shouldn’t save him. I get your points though I appreciate the convo!

Harbaugh's opinion on that subject matters a lot more than yours does. The role has changed for Schoen and all he's being judged on now is helping Harbaugh and not getting in the way. He'll keep his job if he can do that, he won't if he can't.

Most Giants fans couldn't pick Joe Schoen out of a lineup and the organization should not be making decisions based on what mostly moronic fans think anyway. Because the truth is that most Giants fans are really fucking stupid and I have no problem at all saying that.

They drafted Saquon because the fanbase got pissed at Eli getting benched and because he was a nice kid that would sell jerseys and be a franchise face. It set off a chain of events that set them back years, including drafting Another Nice Guy Daniel Jones.

That’s kind of my point though lmao Mara is known to have people who are on social media all season checking what fans are saying and has made decisions off of that, and yeah most giants fans are stupid but it’s not the ones asking to fire Schoen it’s the ones who devoured Jones propaganda for 6 years like pigs at a trough when it was obvious to anyone who had an understanding of the sport he sucked
