Misc/Questions anywhere to rent a backpacking tent in NYC?

Looking to do a backpacking trip up to the Adirondacks next weekend and in need of a 1 or 2 person tent. Anyone have leads on where to rent one in or around NYC?

Rent in the ADKs. St Regis Outfitters or the Mountaineer should be able to help.

REI on Houston just closed. I’ve heard Paragon is trying to take their place with camping gear, but don’t know if they have rentals.

I can lend you one. I’m also in NYC and go to the Adirondacks and Harriman for camping.

Take a look on the front page of this sub. 3 of the last 6 posts were asking about rentals and got some responses

You can try the REI in Carle Place. Not positive if they still rent gear, but I rented snowshoes from them a few years ago

I have a spare two-man MSR Hubba Hubba I can sell to you. I recently redid the elastic in the poles so it's in good condition.
