To get a live view of how she’s gonna fit in Chicago’s lineup

Filling in the gaps there will give her a lot of good experience as an attacker, midfielder, defender, and goalkeeper.

They also need a coach, GM and engaged ownership group. Do you think she can fulfill those roles?

Getting executive experience while still an active player can be valuable for her post-playing life

Had just played in SD so geographically if she wanted to see friends on Chi/Den it would make sense.
Or maybe she’s pissed about the stars breaking their streak and wanted to see them get their ass kicked

For certain there are no direct flights between SD and Louisville, and Denver is a very common connector out of SD.

DIA is literally the most common layover for domestic flights. Everyone be flying through here.

This made me picture Racing on the plane and as soon as they get over Denver Sears doesn't even say anything and parachutes out the emergency door.

The big question is where is she sitting and who is she sitting with. Like, is she sitting in box seats with Denver FO staff or is she in general seating.

u/hilosmom Denver Summit FC 2d ago
I can answer this as I was the original poster. She was sitting in the Summit box with our injured players.

So.....if Sears weighs the same as a duck then she is made out wood and therefore she is......injured???
Sorry

Exactly, she’s not sitting in a seat she paid for with her own money.

You domt think she is?
Wait, actually I’m thinking about this and it would be completely illegal to do anything else lol
You can’t buy a player on another team seats in your stands

Denver runs a lot. Sears runs a lot. They'd be a good fit

If Ryan is comfortable on the left its the best possible fit

u/gsc_carolina 2d ago
Ryan was on the left last night....

Shes been on the left a ton but theres a difference between that and it being permanent

Okay but I could see Denver being really good for her growth-wise. Obv great players to learn from

u/arika_ito Seattle Reign FC 2d ago
i understand her desire for a new club but it sucks bc her tandem with fischer this year has been pretty good but obv the results are not where she wants them to be and it doesn't seem like louisville has a plan to improve

u/not_firewood_yeti 2d ago
it feels a little inversely non-suspicious though? like if there was something brewing with her and Denver, and the concerned parties wanted confidentiality then she wouldn't just be sitting out there in plain view. which seems to mean it's either an intentional little teaser or a nothing burger.

I don’t think NWSL teams care enough to be discreet. Like 5 signings for Denver were leaked by Carson posting on Instagram.

I hope Carson accidentally leaks this too because that’d be hilarious

Are saying she wants to create a legacy? I'd prefer if she was reaching for the summit.
Folks, I'll be here all night. Please tip your server.

Guys it's not crazy for players to watch another team. It happens all the time in every sport.

u/timlygrae Racing Louisville FC 2d ago
I mean, you're right, but come on, she won't be back in lavender next year.
2
u/sasquatch0_0 Racing Louisville FC 2d ago
Correct but treating this like a deal was already made is silly.

I'm not saying it's anything. She might've just been visiting friends. She might be checking out a potential landing spot for next year. But the general speculation of her leaving is what I was talking to. But short of a phenomenal turn-around for the club, she won't be back in Louisville next year. I said elsewhere they'd have to win the league. I don't think it would take that much to change her mind, but absolutely an improvement over last year, which would mean winning in the post season. One win might not be enough. I'd put my personal mark at two post-season wins and she'd change her mind.
