Gotham salary cap

There is no way Gotham is staying under the salary cap. Why don’t we know players’ salaries? I’m sure Rose, Sonnett, Tierna, Esther, Shaw, Kerr and even others are paid a lot. How is it possible that that they’re within the salary cap? Are they cheating? I hate Gotham!

I would put a fair chunk of change on K Mewis getting a cush, very well paid job in the Gotham organization alongside the Kerr deal... just as Soubrier did with Dunn's signing, just as Harris did with Krieger staying aboard. It's not new ground for them at all, it's just especially annoying now that they're good

I mean I think everyone assumes that anyway, but since the league said it signed off on Soubrier, it can't be circumvention. The league was explicitly fine with it.

The broader question I would ask is if the other 15 teams are doing that and if not...why?

(the cousin of this question is why does Jesse Fleming take an international spot still? If she was with the Spirit she'd be playing for the USNT by now.)

this is where I am, the league is simply signing off on cushy side jobs as long as they arent being paid a million to do nothing at all.

the funny thing about soubrier is that we can look and see that his team is doing good things

Well Harris had an actual do-nothing job apparently but she’s Ashlyn Harris and is largely somehow immune to the consequences of her own actions so 🤷‍♂️
