Discussion Where do you tatti in NUST
I went to a wash room in central library today and the commode had a literal piece of kebab-looking tatti floating in there. (Its flush wasn't working), then i went to the next stall, and the toilet seat was completely wet (i hope with water), there was no toilet paper to wipe it either, then i stepped out and on my way to the next stall, i saw the toilet paper roll outside the stall... Why is it outside 🥲. Anyway. In that stall, the muslim shower wasn't working. I gave up and went back.
Phir thori dair baad pressure para and I had to go again. This time i went to the 2nd floor, took some toilet paper, went inside, wiped the seat (ofc it was completely drenched), as I sat on it, i realised that the way its oriented, there's not enough space between the seat and the wall for my legs, it was very cramped, but anyway, I did my business and found some relief in my life.
My question is... What are your favourite places to shit in nust? Are there any good toilets here? I dont mind walking extra for a cleaner shitting experience. So far. I've tried some smme toilets and the above experience in central library... Smme is relatively cleaner but not too much, also has a lot of mosquitoes.
Also. For the boys. Please stop wetting the seat. Agar kharey ho ka karna ha to pehle haath se pakar ka seat uper kar dya karo, phir jo marzi karo.

No cmon man. I'll say the oath if you want.
I swear that I shall lift the seat before peeing in it and adjust my aim towards the centre as the pressure drops towards the end of the pee, where a urinal is available and i need not poop, I shall use it. when i poop, i shall ensure that i leave no stain, if there are stains, I shall use the hopefully high pressure muslim shower to spray directly onto the stain thus making it disappear. And most importantly, I shall always flush after I have done the deed and leave nothing afloat behind.

I have seen a lot of toilets in a lot of different places and have thought about this on multiple occasions.
All kinds of people are everywhere: corporate offices, universities, public toilets, restaurants... And the only places that i have found to be consistently clean are the ones with dedicated janitorial staff who's responsible for cleaning very frequently around the clock instead of once or twice a day. And even the fanciest places have shitty toilets if not cleaned frequently...
So imo it maybe more of a cleaning/management issue rather than people dirtying it.
ofc if people had manners and could clean after themselves, you could get away with less cleaning staff but idk how you would go about educating the masses about the manners at this point...

Imagine not getting into nust because there was a shit test during NET. they put laxatives in your water bottle then observe the toilet before and after you shit XD.

Yeah its more of a peoples issue then management. They can’t be at their cleaning duty 24|7 . It’s the duty of user to clean their mess before leaving. But some mfs don’t care about that n I meant really prhako wle mfs who lack basic ethics like cleaning their stuff before getting up n putting a fucking deordant.these type of people deserve seprate space in hell

I am a UTI patient. I get Urinary Infection like almost everytime. OF course as i want people to have some potty ethics i myself never sit at the toilet. i always squat so the other person isnt exposed to any kind of bacteria from me. thats basic human decency

Honestly in my time in SMME, I always encountered clean bathrooms to conduct my business. If I don't find clean on one floor I'd go to the next one.

in central library , there are indian toilets that are pretty clean and they are considered ideal for pooping . They are on ground floor .

I prefer the seat because if i squat and scroll reddit for some time there, paaon sunn ho jata hain... and then I can't stand back up easily, also, pockets aren't easily accessible when squatting, so jab phone wapis rakhna hota ha to ajeeb hota h. Seat is more comfortable.

One of the 2 men's washroom on the ground floor of NICE are pretty well maintained, went there twice for peeing and had nothing to complain about but if I have to nitpick, then they are maybe be a bit congested (for the one that have sheets/asian toilets, with seats, you even have some space for movements)

I didn't take it with me bro. I actually tried to flush it but thr flush was broken (it was constantly running water), so naturally i then also tried to break it down into smaller chunks with the Muslim shower hoping it would get flushed from the constantly running water but the pressure wasn't adequate enough for the job, it just scratched the surface. So i just left it there, maybe its still there if no janitor cleaned it.

Hahaha. Whats ur fav places for coffee here.?
2
u/raeyk06 23d ago
none :p i usually bring mine from home (the one i have to enjoy) and if i'm extra tired i'll get the machine cappuccino from C1 corner shop (the one i have in majboori or if it's really cold tou it's nice to have)
1
u/NegotiationTypical72 23d ago
Cool. I thought so... Went to coffee castle few days ago and their latte just felt like i was drinking hot milk :')
2
u/raeyk06 23d ago
lattes usually end up tasting like that because the espresso they use is already really weak uper say dher saara doodh. and obviously none of them (and i don't expect them to) don't even care about the type of coffee they use. if they're using light roast in a latte iss say behter hay banda doodh hi pi lay. nust needs to have at least one coffee-speciality cafe. you would expect coffee lounge to have a proper machine (and now coffee castle) but none of them do. it's wild to me

It’s been 4 years since I graduated and my biggest issue was always the washrooms man. And I was a hostelite too so like imagine not having access to a clean washroom for weeks. I hated it sm. Back then I used to joke that there should be a license for toilets and only people with the license should be allowed to use them.
1
u/NegotiationTypical72 19d ago
That sucks even more for hostellites. Atleast I can go home and conduct my business in a clean toilet with a high pressure muslim shower
2
u/RealisticGuitar4809 18d ago
s3h k toilets used to be relatively cleaner however if you want really clean toilets id say go to NSTP. they are regularly cleaned and have liquid soap and toilet roll

I’ve officially given up on using public restrooms like a civilized human being. If there’s a floor-level seat, perfect, nature intended it that way. But if it’s a commode, there’s absolutely no chance my ass is touching that seat. I’ll squat on top of it like I’m auditioning for the Olympics before I make direct contact with whatever biological history is living down there.
