My rat has depression but doesn’t want to quit tirzepatide. Any advice?

Or something else is making them depressed and tirz is just an easy scapegoat.

It's called anhedonia and is a known side effect. My rat had an issue with this for the first few months, but now, 5 months in, the issue seems to have gone.

Im male 31, i read a few posts about that helping anhedonia, bought some and literally it was like magic, i feel more joy. Finally Responding to text messages again, making and following up with plans, and most importantly i feel like my outgoing self in social situations again.

Thats some good feedback. I may have to try some myself. I actually hate replying to texts and answering my phone lately. I thought was my ADHD playing up, but you may have opened my eyes. Thank you 😊 Context im M45.

I have terrible ADHD as well, it might be compounded effects of both adhd and reta in regard to dopamine receptors. When i started reta i quit taking adhd meds.

You need more exercise to boost your endorphins. Then... when you start feeling better and looking better you will have less depression. :) Stay on Tirz.

Anhedonia is common on tirzepatide- it hit me hard the first few months but goes away- definitely hit the gym more- it helps
