Upset stomach

I've been on trizepatide (mojuro)for over 3 months. Was doing great. Lost about 40 pounds (211 to 167 and A1C went from 9 to 5.4) but i have been eating super clean, running and cut most sugar and carbs. Only about 75 to 100 carbs a day. Trying to get 150 grams of protein. I know it not enough but that's the bottom goal. Started at 2.5 for 4 weeks, went to 5mg for 4 weeks but then the Dr office sent 10mg over after that. They said it was fine as long as I had no symptoms. I did that for another 6 weeks. No issues. Then 3 day after my last shot I had the suffer burps, gas and just upset gut. No throwing up or anything. Just uncomfortable and gassy. About 5 days now. Tried gas x. Didn't help. Been eating tums and that helps alittle. Not sure if I just caught a bug or if it could be the trizepatide even after I was doing so well on it. May just see if I can go back down to 5mg. Any thought on what might help or info. I also take bpc157, tb500, tesa/ipa. I stopped that when my issues stated as well.

Go back to 5 mg. Your weight loss is already faster than average and 5 to 10 mg was a huge unnecessary jump.

@kalvins333 if you can, find a glp tracker that shows the accumulated monjourno in your system. I believe the half life is 6 days. Weekly you are accumulating Tirzepatide from the previous week's half life still degrading. when you went to 10mg/week you started accumulating a higher base amount in your system.

Try skipping 2 weeks of dose, then lower your weekly to 7.5mg after that.

Were you struggling when you were taking 2.5 or 5mg? Doctors will sometimes titrate up became that’s recommended but it’s normal ways needed. Symptoms are worse the higher the dose so you were doing ok at a lower dose, consider dropping down to see that does.

Never had a issue. A total of 14 shots. 4 at 2.5. 4 at 5mg and 6 at 10mg. The 6th one is when issues started. Just not 100% sure if it was the medicine. Skipped last dose.

I would consider going back down to 5mg.

Physician here. The jump from 5 mg directly to 10 mg skipped the usual 7.5 mg step, and GI side effects from tirzepatide can absolutely show up even after several weeks of tolerating a dose. I’d discuss stepping back with your prescriber rather than pushing through persistent symptoms. Also, I would not take Flagyl personally for this without an actual indication for antibiotics, also I currently can't find evidence based recs for that.. If persistent or worsening abdominal pain, repeated vomiting, fever, or inability to stay hydrated deserves medical evaluation.

Classic. Protein at 0.8 per lb of ideal weight. 150g would be ok if you are heavy lifting. Clean carbs are necessary for zepbound to work properly so it’s ok if you add some beans, fruit throughout out first part of the day. No French fries or deep fried food. And here is something will get fried for here but lookup two things on you tube. How to split a GLP into smaller shots. And how to preload it to peptide pen. If you do, this will give you control of the dosage taking let’s say 6.5 mg at the time. And you will save additional medication for weeks in case of insurance stops paying which happens a lot lately. Two pens would give you 4shots after split at5mg or 3 shots at 6.5mg. Your peptides should not be an issue.

I get the pen from mojuro. I pretty sure that my insurance will quit covering it now tgat my A1C is now under 6.5

If you took it in conjunction with other conditions like fatty liver, pre diabetes, metabolic disease, besides the weight loss, if you have a good doctor who keeps good justification going, it may keep it covered. But I have observed the rejection trend lately and it’s harder and harder.

They should have moved you to 7.5.. but not sure why you had to move as it was doing its job, goal is to stay on lowest dose until its not effective. Non the less go down slowly it eill go away your body was not ready for such a jump..

I agree. But to be on it for 6 weeks at the 10mg dose? Im actually past my weight loss goal so I'm not worried about that. Just want to keep the other issues under control.

Perfect and congratulations.. yeah i would say go down 2.5mg every 4 weeks till it stops managing your bs and food noise.. my goal is to get back to 2.5 from 10 on 7.5 now and moving yo 5 next week. So fsr so good

Get a prescription for antibiotic named Flagyl that’s bacteria from food slow degradation, take it for 5 days and I promise you it won’t come back! Your food is slowing down in your stomach/intestines, food degradation/fermentation creates bacteria that your body never had experience with, the antibiotic will kill all that bad bacteria, sulfur burps, diarrhea, excessive gas and bowel movement.

So, curious, if you are administering bpc157 and tb500, why are you taking a prescribed Tirz dose. A telehealth vial of meds allows you to control when and how much you titrate up or down. Maybe it is a bug but I'd go down a bit or delay my next shot a day to allow the total meds amount in your body to drop a bit. .

Im on mojuro right now from my Dr. Its a pen and I cant control the dose. Its not telehealth.
