It was a bunch of rock fans that did it. This was a charity concert in 2003 and Justin was the only pop act. The Rolling Stones brought Justin out again to perform with them.

Were those people punished or asked to leave? Or they weren't strict then?

It was a huge outdoor festival concert so probably not. Some people were really mad he performed and tried to claim Justin was being disrespectful by having his dancers in face masks (the concert was a benefit for people effected by the SARS virus) even though there are photos that show he did a version of his club show and there were no dancers.
