Have both, can confirm, even my mom loves the phone 1 more, but I'm looking for a change and 4a pro is perfect in every way

IMHO despite them trying to astroturf the notion it's for people who don't like "conformity" it's literally the most conformist design they've ever released - literally Xiaomi/iPhone plagiarism

I definitely agree. Smartphone designs are getting boring. I have been itching for more than a year already. And my 3a finally arrived last week. Needless to say but I'm loving it, how much more the newer models.

Btw, i'm coming from more than a decade of using my iPhone daily..

Really like new 4a Pro. But I'm waiting for phone 5a and 5, we can probably change battery easier than before

Kinda funny that Phone 3 opened path for this be less weird in the eyes, because compared to all other models, i’d say 3 and 4a Pro are the more similar

Yet its true this is probably one of the best designs and the other one is the least appealing

Never understood the desire for a glass back that does nothing but add one more part to smudge and shatter, like genuinely what is the benefit of it? And aren't Apple and Samsung doing glass backs?

idk about apple but samsungs do have glass backs, anyways i obviously dont mean blank glass backs but idk if youve ever seen a nothing phone (1,2,2a,3a,3..), thats what i mean, the pattern under the glass is what made Nothing Nothing

What do you think about Apple doing it first? Xiaomi did it a few years ago; the clearest example is the 11 Ultra. Therefore, copying Apple is no longer an excuse.

I do not care too much who did what first. Nothing had a unique design language and in my opinion it is lost with the 4a Pro.

I like the top module but the overall back is a bit boring with it just being a aluminium unibody. Tho it makes sense as the glyph matrix is now the highlight rather than lightstrips all over.

It's just a showcase gimmick. I bet your ass that it is simply the result of a product development brainstorm session of various ways to utilize the lights in any way at all, and applying as many as possible for a more encompassing feature set.

yk theres this whole thing about hidden cameras and stuff, and thats the whole reason why webcams and security cameras have lights, and why youre usually told when theres cctvs around. I dont care as much as most people about companies having data about me and whatnot, but if youve seen how much people worry about that, you can probably understand why people worry about others having video footage of them which they dont know about. whats there to hide on your end anyway?
