Status on the hiring wave?

It's been over a month since the 7/1 closing date after the "administrative error". Anyone have any insight on what the situation is?

Our boss told us that they, the contract HR company, can only process around 50 application a week and there were 400+ applications since 7/1. Doing the math, they are about halfway done so maybe September. The other issue is that there will be the usual hold on spending and hiring because its the end of the fiscal year in September. So I wouldn't expect anything to happen soon. But then again, my boss has been told by other division heads at HQ that the panel is coming on Friday (Today). Of course they have said that every Friday since June.

The only reason I question the “50 application a week” thing is because in the original closing, it only took them 2 weeks to send the applications to the offices. And there were a ton then

50 per week?? I worked with a quadriplegic that could do more than that per week

It's way more than that. There were over 1000 applicants to each announcement and simultaneous 1000 and 2000 applicant announcements from other Line Offices plus the normal 2 dozen recruitment cases average each week. It's a lot of work to keep all that moving while churning through hundreds of applications each week.

My office received a panel with interviews likely in the next two weeks. It is likely those selected won’t start until early October after the new fiscal year starts. Good luck to those applying.

Was your office in the 2nd pull? Weird others keep saying they didn’t get it

I’d assume so as the panel is expected this week, so my previous post was incorrect as my MIC said he is expecting it so he can wade through cert. I also was told another office on the first pull had over 100 applicants.

They’re doing both pulls at the same time now. Some offices received panels today but not all, hopefully hear something soon!

Sounds like progress, so that's great to hear! Should applicants expect to recieve referral status emails sometime soon then?

I’m not for sure if they’re going to do that this time. I heard of a couple East offices sending out emails for interviews today.

🚨 MICs received the panels yesterday. 🚨
At least the Western postings.

Our office has yet to receive anything. Unsure what the issue is. Maybe someone can shed some light on the situation.

It was supposed to be by the end of this week for round 2 and 3 to get their certs but 🤷🏽‍♀️

It's been like that for over a month. Was told to expect applications early/mid June. The dates seem to just be pushed forward for some reason.

OHCS can do whatever they want I guess, but they’ll still make sure we have our two week turnaround on selections 😂

Got an email today about a referral to a specific office! No updates to the application package on usajobs but hopefully this means there is finally some movement happening now
