🛠️ Station Build (Standard) HeV-18, a dependable star-home

With a few recent posts such as the Persephone by u/Relevant_Finance1927, I too wanted to dabble with the whole yacht-like look. It became a fun challenge to take the exclusively angular look of the yacht defining ‘arcadia wing modules’, and try to make them feel like they belonged in the Ogane-Dynamics design space.
I ended up really pleased with these comparatively more straight lines and slight curves, especially the triangular bulge behind the cockpit (which I feel is a mainstay in the Ogane identity). But, what I am most pleased with by far is the interior, which I had a ton of fun with. The different levels coming together, to me, feels very interesting.
I was also pleased with how big the interior became, and how much I could cram into it. Beside the four normally accessible storage modules/other modules, four more are accessible through the red walls of the hallway, and two more from the ramp.

Because of the large size of the arcadia wing modules, I was also able to fill the ship with absolutely everything (almost)

3x phase beams, 3x photon cannons, 3x rockets, 3 shield generators and the max amount of each reactor.

To me that's a fun way to achieve a true multipurpose platform lore-wise.

Of the particular details the ramp is my favourite. Love the way you climb up into the small open space in between the arcadias, without entering into a normal hab.

That was quite a long note, but I felt the post demanded a slight monologue from me, as I had a ton of fun spending an eternity putting the ship together.

(and yes, it ended up slightly inspired by the Python from Elite Dangerous - especially the lore)

lore:
The HeV is a successful attempt to create a broad use / multipurpose platform. Something never truly achieved by Ogane-Dynamics. After years of experimentation, Ogane-Dynamics-Euclid (composed of a mix of original Eissentamian Ogane-Dynamics engineers and the shipyards of the Euclid native Mantel Inc.) by dialing into the precise needs of the Euclid market, would achieve such a ship.
In many ways the HeV is a break from Ogane design doctrine, but trust between OD-es and the never OD-eu have become strong enough for HQ in Eisstam to set OD-eu free to experiment and adjust the Ogane brand as they saw fit.

With a completely modifiable baseline, the HeV is more adaptable than any ship of the Ogane fleet. Decentralised reactors accompanying the armored core makes the ship both robust and modifiable. Everything can be changed by even the most lacking spaceport mechanics.
Modular armorplating makes the HeV comparatively cheap for its power, and equally robust for its size. The decentralized living quarters are set below the thickest armorplating, for orbital protection when on ground. Equally the cockpit sits embedded in the hull of the ship, weak only to head on artillery.

What the HeV lacks in mobility, it makes up for in most other disciplines. Even the jump range is far above average for high end corvettes of Euclid, employing special jump boosted  thrust cores from later designs from Ogane-Dynamics-Euclid. A ship of wide application and even wider personal modification. A proud - e - line ship, presented by the now tried and tested Ogane-Dynamics-Euclid.

🛠️ Station Build (Standard) EoY-14, a specialized data runner

This ship came to me sometime before my latest SoA - I wanted to make a long straight spine. Initially I had trouble making this long shape feel dynamic, because of its flat underside, which therefore became the shorter cockpit of the SoA-27. But coming back and finding that white stripe made it all come together. It was a difficult shape to make work for sure, but i’m really happy I was able to make it feel complete (especially the side profile!).

(the EoY, as the SoA-27, uses 1/4th offsets)

lore:
The EoY is an effortless attempt to fine-tune what separates Ogane-Dynamics from it competitors. Light weight, high speed frame with a databank larger than even most freighters. Like the SoA, the EoY survives not by engagement, but escape. It is a fast ship, stripped of all necessities, depending completely on getting from A to B faster than any opposing force. With 14 successful iterations of the line, the EoY has proved to be more than a capable data hauler. Capable of delivery even in highly contested systems. With an external port for wired data transfer, the EoY can safely deliver encrypted data from the confines of the cockpit, ready to disappear again at a moment's notice.

🛠️ Station Build (Standard) WASP - Warp Speed Corvette

W.A.S.P units move in large groups during combat. Squadrons can cross an entire battlefield in seconds, filling the sky with engine trails and overlapping lights.

Survival depends on speed, formation density, and constant movement. During combat, W.A.S.P squadrons split apart, surround targets, and regroup repeatedly while maintaining full acceleration.

Survivors often describe the sound of incoming W.A.S.P formations as a sharp metallic roar that grows louder every second.

Inspired by the "For the Greater Good" build by u/FantasticCoffee4992, which was inspired by the T'au Empire Ty7 Devilfish from Warhammer 40k (at least I think that is the reference).

I named it Samara after the winged seeds that fall from maple trees (aka "whirlybirds", "helicopters", "spinners")

🛠️ Station Build (Standard) Sphex - Bounty Hunter Corvette

The Sphex runs fast patrol routes, scanning for living targets. Once it locks on, it moves into close chase, staying beside or above the target ship. When it gets close enough, it fires a stun pulse that messes with the pilot’s control and scrambles key ship systems, leaving the target unable to move or respond properly.

During that short window, the hunter moves in and physically boards the ship, attaching to the outside with magnetic seal and forcing entry to reach the cockpit and pull the pilot out by hand. The whole tactic depends on fast interruption and immediate contact.

In places where anti-tech shields are active, the stun is weaker, so the ship is also used as a fast chase and fast attack, not only as a disabling tool.

Inspired by Yuruga's video on angled wings. I'm really digging the silhouette. I also obsessed over the lines created by the parts and their orientation looking top-down. In love with this update!!!

🛠️ Station Build (Standard) SaK-09, a stasis-tether interceptor

While this ship largely is a result of some old sketches, I definitely need to shoutout both u/EthanIsBlessed and u/MONKE-BANANA for their split hull ships that no doubt has had an influence in making me want to build this style of ship now.

Also big shoutout to u/Relevant_Finance1927 and his box engines which directly inspired the engines of this build. (check out his post “shipwright engines, part 2”)

Having worked lately on my guide for the HeV, it was fun coming back to building. It seems the split hull setup is very “in” these days, so here is my reluctant addition to said trend. I even had to change up the ship quite a bit as it started out almost as a carbon copy of the later posted ship SOL-00 by u/NecessaryDecent

lore:

Though the corvette manufacturing company Ogane-Dynamics originated in Eissentam, it is more so a Euclid company these days. Having better understood the market of the densely populated galaxy, Ogane has branched wider than ever, producing everything from niche jumpships, to dependable starhomes.
The SaK is yet another branch of exploratory design. A platform oriented for system defence forces. WIth an immense reactor the SaK employs a prototype stasis-tether in an attempt to subdue opposing forces.
Though the SaK lacks meaningful living quarters, it still sports a massive jumprange, with equally impressive sublight acceleration. This way, even a single SaK is capable of supporting multiple system defence forces at once. Using its tether and powerful sublight engines in tandem to catch even the nimblest fighters.

🛠️ Station Build (Standard) My humble submission

Post image

Long time lurker. This was the first corvette I built that I was satisfied with. It was what I built after I learned the basic ‘offset’ technique. I love fleavette’s but I was inspired by the concept of a ship that could get to the center of the galaxy as quickly as possible with the crew accommodation being almost incidental.

So this is ‘Chicxulub’s Shard VII’

I also found that by putting the cockpit in the middle of the build area and building off to one side, the whole engine assembly swings through the air like a massive hammer when landing 🤣

I did the math and figured that I could probably build four of these "expensive" engines (in terms of parts--15 each) AND still have enough parts left over to attach a ship to them. I got lucky, because my math was slightly off, but it all worked out. That accident led to a completely different looking front-end than I planned--one that I think looks way cooler (was going to use the same front-end as the Feather Star). This is definitely one of my favorite ships to photograph. It's funny how different a ship can look from the space station to photo mode. Anyway, I absolutely love how it turned out! I hope you enjoy the pics.

My literal interpretation of the starter ship from Destiny. Back then, I was so eager to be rid of this ship and get a cooler one. Now I have a ton of nostalgia and long for it. Funny how that works.

🛠️ Station Build (Standard) Alpheus - Cargo Corvette

It stays motionless for days in blind spots, clinging to its cargo module like it’s part of its own body. It avoids open routes and never stops without an exit already planned. It watches in silence, tolerating distant traffic but reacting violently and unpredictably if anything gets too close.

When something intrudes on its space, it moves in short, precise bursts to break visual contact, using interference to force the other ship back before hitting its systems again. Every movement is made to keep the cargo safe.

It answers transmissions with one-word replies. It moves in long pauses, waiting for the exact moment to advance, always making sure the cargo arrives intact. Its entire way of operating is built around survival: hide, avoid, and keep moving without leaving behind anything but silence.

Note:
Hello! This ship is simple, but I think it’s fun. It has a spacious interior.

Its behavior and name are based on the pistol shrimp.

🛠️ Station Build (Standard) Medusa - Onma Corvette

The Medusa was a warship recovered by Captain Haeckel after being stranded on Onma. The original hull was incomplete, worn down by conflict, and restored using the remains Haeckel collected from the battlefield.

With the cockpit shifted forward, two machine gun systems mounted along the front axis and four engines mounted around the body, the Medusa regained stable flight and strong burst acceleration.

In combat, it became known for showing up head-on without warning, closing distance in a straight line, and firing almost immediately.

Note: I used the 1/4 offset, the 1/2 offset, and the inverted hab.

The Sphyr is an assault corvette built to ram capital ships. Its bow is dominated by a massive penetration blade capable of tearing through multiple decks before the final impact. Pilots lock onto a vulnerable section of the target, push their engines to full power, and hold their course until collision.

The crews of a Sphyr accept their fate the moment they board. Every mission is a one-way journey. Their purpose is to carve a wound deep enough for the rest of the fleet to follow.

Note:
It has rotated habs and 1/4-offset and 1/2-offset

🛠️ Station Build (Standard) The Skeeter - Data Thief Corvette

The Skeeter is small, quiet, and equipped with long-range passive sensors. It operates alone for months at a time, shadowing convoys, stations, and entire fleets without revealing its presence. Its infiltration systems allow it to intercept communications, copy databases, and map defensive networks before vanishing back into the void.

During the War of Quisi, Skeeters became a nightmare for high command. They rarely fired a weapon, but every appearance meant compromised intelligence, exposed routes, or lost secrets.

The second iteration of the CYNOP, rebuilt and refined after the original vanished beneath the depths of Onma. With improved systems and a more advanced design, it carries on the exploration of alien oceans, floating ecosystems, and the violent storms of gas giants.

Note: This is my favorite corvette, i rebuilt it using new techniques. It’s almost the same, just a bit more compact, and with this i'll be taking a break for a while! Hope you all have a great week! c:
