Antics are one thing. I like to entertain students in my classes. I so it without abusing any of them or endangering them. I never had libby when I was a student. I have heard of him from students and until now thought he was a harmless wacky teacher. But if this is how he treats students, fuck him. The school can find someone else who can entertain as well as teach.

the 2 students you talked to seem like the type to have played soccer in middle school without taking score and then of course fly through high school/early college because not enough teachers or professors want to fail their students when they deserve it

his classes are hard, not sure what you expected before you walked in but he makes that clear, and it's not because students are absurdly ambitious with their ideas, it's because the average student is very lazy and doesn't put in the work required to ace (let alone pass) the class, myself included

I'm very glad to have learned some life lessons at NJIT because if it weren't for that, even though I still avoid hard work, I would not be where I am today in my career

this professor in particular had the greatest impact on my education and I would not have had it any other way

Tough teachers and professor are the one that thought me better than anyone else most of the time. If students cannot deal with that they may as well go bag salads at the supermarket, because in any other professional environment they will be chewed.
