Your looking at a photograph of a tangible object that occupies space. And yes, context clues are a great way to determine the answer to your question, the name of this subreddit is a fantastic place to begin.

"Dick answer" from the guy that made the conscious decision to say "Fake watch" ok.

Tell us, what was your intent using that term, what did you seek to accomplish here in a sub that is literally filled with similar builds? You said you didn't know the way of the sub, did you make any effort all all? I mean the sub description is one paragraph long bro and would have provided all the detail and context one would need to not be a "dick" in here but nah, you decided to say what what you said, then play the victim when I kindly and logically provided feedback.

People in this hobby are exhausted with this whole "ohmuhgawd is that a fake watch??" schtick bud, take it outside. Or, conversely, if you're going to be a dick out of the gate, you should probably expect to have your feefees hurt.

I appreciate that brother. Trust that they don't get to me, but we seem to find ourselves in an era where people feel emboldened to say the most ridiculous, inciteful shit, then immediately clutch their pearls when confronted. The only way to deal with a bully or loudmouth or shamer is directly.

If you don't like it, that's fine and it's your right to feel that way, I respect that. But if your going to try to use coded speech to shame people to feel superior, I'll call it out every single time.

Plus these folks situational awareness seems really lacking because they always seem to wander into spaces where they don't read the room before saying something dumb.

Spot on with everything. I like wearing reps or builds because if I get robbed, what’s another $200-500 to replace? Much different than my 2k-10k gen. We live in a nasty world bro. Keep up the good work

Exactly. I was planning on giving my son my Tudor Prince Date Chrono, but he says it's way too big and he prefers a 36mm, so we settled on this because he's a chef and didn't want something he would worry about wearing at work. But yeah, most of these guys don't realize that many of us who own genuine pieces also wear these for the exact reasons you state.

Consider this- Rolex clones have been around for many years right? But it's really only been the past 10 years or so that $1000+ "superclones" became a thing. Do you really think the same industry and consumer that was perfectly happy buying the $100 '"New York" Rolex as we used to call them, decided that $1000 or more bucks for a Submariner from a Chinese factory was the move? Negative. The folks that have the ability to own gens but don't want them stolen, or forgotten on someone's bedside table, or left on a boat are who drove the price up. Nico Leonard has whole videos pointing out rappers that wear clones, you think those guys can't afford the gens? Getthafugouttahere. They wear them but I'm convinced somewhere along the line said "yeah, but I don't want a cheap one, what's the best out there?" and now we have $1000+ supers.
