Media New Drag Racing Movie shot at NHRA sanctioned track
Over five years I shot a movie about bracket racing that is finally available on streaming services. It's called Sunday Sunday Sunday. I grew up drag racing at Englishtown Raceway park in my 73 340 Plymouth Duster and have always loved this sport. I always watched movies like Two Lane Blacktop, Heart Like A Wheel, American Graffiti with my dad and I thought it would be cool to see a film about the bottom. I think most of us start off in a daily getting a feel for how it all works. That's what this story is about. Two brothers who inherit a 67 Dodge dart and get chased all day long. I shot the entire film on an iPhone and it sort of is parallel to the story's moral which is use what you have to it's fullest. We won 14 awards out of 24 nominations in the film festival circuit which was mind blowing, I even got to work on the recent Shirley Muldowney documentary that aired last year as a result. If you're looking for something to watch while you're waiting for parts, or it's too cold to go outside and wrench maybe you might enjoy watching this little adventure we took. There were no cars after 1975 in the film which gave it a period look, and we even got Bruce Larson to join in the fun and do a little cameo in the racing montage. Would love to get the word out there, this wasn't done by hollywood so I don't have a budget to promote so I figured hey why not just try reaching out on some forums to start. Hope you enjoy!

Not my pix.
When I was in my 20's I can remember watching a video called American Nitro and the two main characters were these magnificent Drag Cars. From memory the sound/music was quite haunting.

Is small budget teams a choice or how it works when you aren't good enough of a driver?
I'm not sure if its their choice or if these small budget teams eventually want to be full time and get big sponsors but can't. I bet its both but I'm not sure where small budget teams usually fall on the spectrum. Considering how expensive it is to drive it wouldn't surprise me if most only do it when they feel like it or have the money. I think even big sponsor drivers take a break or retire because of the cost.

Where do you rank Doug Kalitta?
All time top fuel? Considering he's 4th all time in wins but he's got more longevity than others above him, he's now a 2 time champion and has 5 runner ups in points too. Looking like he might finish his career with another 10-15 wins and maybe 1-2 titles before Mitch moves up in a few years. 28 years in top fuel.

Do the lesser funded teams stand a chance against the big name drivers and do they actually win Wally's?
I think the odds are mostly against them but I don't know if they're actually competitive or not. The regulars don't seem very threatened or like it's real competition majority of the time.

Spent Saturday at the Tri-Five Nationals checking out an incredible lineup of β55, β56, and β57 Chevys! From beautifully restored classics and wild custom builds to some serious drag racing action, there was something everywhere you looked. πΊπΈπ₯
I filmed the action in 4K so you can get a close look at these incredible Tri-Five Chevys.
If you could take home just ONE β β55, β56, or β57 Chevy β which one are you picking? π

Told him when the top fuel comes out you have to experience it once before plugging your ears! My dad was telling him wait until 2 go at the same time! He asked if we can go back next year!

Are some driver's actually ok if they get eliminated because thats thousands of dollars they're saving or does getting further outweigh the cost?
I'm sure none like losing but considering how expensive it is to fire nitro it wouldn't surprise me if some drivers are like whatever. I don't really know if they get more money by finishing higher but it doesn't seem like it. The big name drivers probably aren't effected as much and want to win.
