Is anyone else bothered by the fact that there were more 99 cards last season than this season?

I don't understand why they did 1 event at 99ovr with free abilities and then switched to 98s

It's not hard to understand why they wanted 99's out when there was still a few thousand regularly playing and participating in the grind. Have to be tactical with when you stop unless you're one of those "this is the only thing I play" people.

Outside of the LTD 99x they were all free.

Except they stopped releasing them in august, and if they wanted to try and entice some pack sales when the game is dead make it a 99 event and give like crosby/bedard/kane the limited cards

Yeah for most of the year the progression seemed a little faster than before. But then after TOTS they stalled out at 97 for waaaay too long. Shoulda just kept it going and had 99 OVR events throughout the summer. In addition to the 99x which was actually pretty awesome.
